About me

Hello everyone! It's Shatargat! I'm a gamemaster with Turkish nationality, who runs his games in English since mid 2022. I'm a game designer and scenario author, and I mostly use these skills on my games. My main genre in everything is horror. I really like horror, occultism, supernatural stuff, mystery and other dark themes as well. I personally prefer heavy and extreme touches on the games, but I know that I can meet people on the common ground, and bring fun into these dark games. I'm also a content creator in my native language. And companies like Chaosium Inc., Helmgast, Free League Publishing and Renegade Game Studios support my content, and I introduce their game to my local audience. I also started to publish my own creations in English, under the name Black Dragon Tomes. My first book is YZE-inspired game called Lost Echoes. I'm also working on other personal projects, too. I believe that friendship, and, understanding and tolerating each other is the most important thing in life. Without communication, we cannot find a good place to have fun, right? BTW: If you have any special request from me (like running an extremely niche game such as Invisible Suns), you can book me with the price on my profile. I always enjoy to tryout new things, or provide specific games, but that requires more energy and work load, that's why the booking price is a little different than the regular announcements.

Shatargat created a welcoming environment at the table, and guided us through character creation and some party introductions. The session was an ideal session 0, with all members feeling welcome and with ample spotlight time.

Shatargat's Masks of Nyarlathotep has been superb so far. Enthusiastic and well prepped GM and a really nice group. Can recommend him especially for horror/mystery adventures, Shatargat seems to have a good sense of style for this kind of stuff. I especially appreciate that he does not seem to shy away from player character death, making things feel dangerous and exciting rather than just walking through the story.

Shatargat is great. Our Call of Cthulhu game sessions have all been fun and friendly, which is most important to me. He's enthusiastic, is always prepped for the session, and obviously loves the game setting and material. Really had a good time investigating the Masks of Nyarlathotep. Would definitely recommend!

Shatargat really set the mood and atmosphere for the game. Really make you feel a somewhat eerie-ness of the setting. Very patient and supportive for new player.

"An unforgettable descent into madness – in the best way possible!" I just wanted to give a huge thank you to our amazing Keeper for crafting such a rich, atmospheric, and chilling experience. Every detail, from the slow burn of suspense to the mind-shattering revelations, was masterfully handled. You didn’t just run a game—you guided us through a living nightmare that felt straight out of Lovecraft’s pages. The pacing was perfect, the NPCs felt real (and often terrifying), and the mystery kept us guessing until the very end. You managed to balance horror, investigation, and character development with such finesse, giving everyone moments to shine while keeping the tension razor sharp. It's not easy to make us laugh one moment and question our sanity the next, but you nailed it. Thanks for a fantastic session—I already can’t wait for the next spiral into the unknown!

Fantastic Keeper! He communicates well, and he runs the games smoothly and professionally.

Character creation
Creating your character

We will do a session zero and that's when you build your characters. We will create the characters, we will talk about the general game rules, and I will guide you through the interface of Foundry VTT.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

Be sure that you can attend the game constantly. Sessions take 3 hours, may take longer or a little bit shorter depending on the scene. Be sure that you have a working PC, stable internet connection, and a decent microphone that can capture your voice clearly. Be sure that you have a working Webcam, because most of the game will be as Theater of the Mind, and it's always the best to see each other's faces. That's all. There's no any other homework for you.

What Shatargat brings to the table

I will bring an interactive interface for Foundry, an intense Call of Cthulhu experience, and ambient music.

How Shatargat creates a safe table

The game is a long, weekly campaign that is focused on investigation. You will fight against evil death cults, try to survive and save the world! Game rules are easy to understand, but session zero is needed for creating characters. Please consider this game if you want to be in a long campaign. If you feel any discomfort during the game because of descriptions, you can cut my words and notice about it, so we don't get into its details and pass the scene quickly.
