About the adventure

Beset by howling winds, bitter cold, and chilling rain, your adventuring party is driven to seek refuge from the elements. Ahead lies your party's hope: a dilapidated manor. Explore the secrets of the dark and creepy Montarthas Manor as you seek shelter from the elements. What secrets does it hold? Who lives here? WHAT IS THAT THING BEHIND ME? Based on the highly acclaimed one shot The Haunt, this adventure for 4 to 6 level 4 players is guaranteed to be a great time. As a former player of this one shot, I attest that this adventure is a GREAT time if you love horror!

Character creation

Creating your character

I will send out a D&D Beyond campaign link for character creation(this is optional and for those who want access to content for character creation). Characters should ideally be made before game and I am available to discuss any questions about build or character concepts. Characters will be level 4 and all RAW content is allowed.

The current party

This is a one shot that fill feature a lot of combat, but also rewards creativity and role play. Keep that in mind when you build you character. We will be level 5.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Mic is needed for voice and webcam is ideal for role-playing. Please be familiar with basic rules and the functions of the character you are playing (I can be messaged for help with this). I do not do integrated rolling and all dice rolling is on the honor system, so have your own dice or use D&D Beyond(or a digital roller). Finally, if you want a token made, please send me an image and I will add it to the Vtt.

What Ben brings to the table

I bring the adventure itself, the maps, hours of preparation time, additional content to round out the one shot, a discord channel, excellent customer service and people skills, the vtt, D&D Beyond content, and experience as a DM, as well as any other materials as they are needed.

Homebrew rules

Safety

How Ben creates a safe table

I will be available before game to discuss any and all concerns. Please reach out to me to discuss this. Additionally, I will go over safety tools, set boundaries, and take any and all concerns at the beginning of the game. As a DM I reward teamwork, creativity, and good role playing moments between players. As a rule, I always try to say yes to player attempts, providing they are appropriate and do not break the game. This is a horror one shot, so expect surprise and the possibility of character death(although character death is not a goal of mine as a DM).
