Dragons of Phandalin
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
Opportunity often starts small—like the creak of wagon wheels on a dusty trail. Your story begins on the road to Phandalin, a town on the edge of civilization nestled beneath the shadow of the Sword Mountains. Your friend and patron, Gundren Rockseeker, an ambitious dwarf with big dreams and an even bigger grin, has hired you to escort a supply wagon loaded with provisions and equipment to the remote frontier town. The job’s straightforward enough: get the caravan to Barthen's Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin, and earn a quick 10 gold pieces per person. Simple coin, simple work. Gundren himself set out ahead of you days ago, accompanied by his trusted warrior companion, Sildar Hallwinter, saying he had “urgent business” to attend to in town. He’s been uncharacteristically vague, though his excitement was palpable. Judging by his enthusiasm—and Gundren’s reputation—the stakes feel important, even if you don’t yet know why. Despite the easy job, the road to Phandalin is fraught with subtle tension. The Triboar Trail, notorious for goblin and bandit activity, winds through lawless wilderness. You find yourselves drawn to this task not just for the coin but for the sense that this path may lead to something larger, something worth writing down in tales. What starts as escorting a wagon could be the first step into something extraordinary. Campaign Scope: Starting at level 1, this campaign will take you through the thrilling stories of The Lost Mine of Phandelver, Dragon of Icespire Peak, and Whispers of the Abyss, pulling you into a tale of danger, mystery, and heroism that will carry you to level 10. Themes: Expect a fun balance of roleplay, exploration, and combat. Roleplay will offer chances to bond with allies, uncover secrets, and make crucial choices, while combat will be engaging, tactical, and challenging.
Voice Chat will be on Discord. Character Creation done on D&D Beyond Campaign. D&D 2024 rules and characters.
