About the adventure
The Emperor has revoked Graf Sigismund's right to rule Ubersreik, sending the von Jungfreuds out of the city. With the Altdorf soldiers moving in as new guards, merchants and lesser nobles vying for control in the newly created power vacuum, and the usual suspects (criminals) trying to get rich, Ubersreik is ripe for adventure and chaos (as well as capital C Chaos). Hearing of all the opportunities in a town with no ruling family, newcomers arrive daily, looking to improve their lot in life. While Ubersreik opens its gates to anyone willing to brave its dangers, the party will start their adventure on the road, trying to survive the harsh wilderness between the cities of the Empire. Arriving at a small village on the road to Ubersreik, you will first deal with threats that are seemingly more mundane and uninteresting, but once things take a turn for the worse, Ubersreik will become a shining beacon on the horizon you will want to reach as soon as possible. The campaign will use the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay system by Cubicle 7 Games and will be played via FoundryVTT.
Game style
Sandbox / Open World
In "Sandbox" or "Open World" games, players are given a tremendous amount of freedom to pursue their stories without the restrictions of a more linear game style. Players are encouraged to explore and engage with the world, and find their own story as they do so. These games offer the players the opportunity to help drive the narrative, and allow for the story to evolve organically through the choices they make.

How to prepare
A mic and a web browser (laptop, PC, Mac...) are required to play. No installation is required as everything is browser-based. Knowledge of the rules is not required because the game is open to beginners. Webcams are preferred but not mandatory, though they do create a more friendly atmosphere.
What I provide
I strive for a good balance of roleplay, exploration, and combat. Combat is dangerous and brutal in this system so it is often recommended to try and find alternative solutions to problems. Also, I like to play by the rules as written since I believe they best evoke the feeling of Warhammer but with the system being as detailed as it is, some parts may be handwaved for the purpose of smoother gameplay. FoundryVTT solves rules automation while allowing for incredible maps, music, lighting, and special effects, all of which I use to their full extent so that I can provide a truly immersive experience.
Gameplay details
Regarding content warnings, it's Warhammer. The world is brutal and people living in it are rarely kind, especially for no reason. The campaign is gritty and often dark, but also humourous in its own way and eventually even heroic. Each session has a break around the halfway point as well as a debriefing where we can discuss how everyone felt about the session.

How will character creation work
Characters will be created in Foundry during session 0 with nearly all officially published content unlocked. As a GM, I prefer going by the basic rules that suggest creating more random characters through rolling since such character fit the campaign story more easily (misfits and commoners seeking their fortunes in Ubersreik). However, if you have a specific character in mind, you are free to create it, but your character still has to fit both the party and the campaign (in that order).
