About the adventure
"Balin, son of Fundin, with the blessings of King Thrain II of Erebor, is forming an expedition to retake the halls of Khazad-dum. To those who join this kingly company - and see it through to its proper end - shall receive a kingly reward. Honor and glory and an equal share of the treasures of that great kingdom. For those bravest of heart and most adventuresome of blood, gather in Erebor ere Yule 2988 for with the new year marches the Companies of Khazad-dum." In this game Players can expect to: - Explore Middle-Earth through 5e of Dungeons and Dragons - Help shape the legend of Balin's ill-fated expedition and maybe even change the outcome - Play a number of dwarves of the 3 Companies of the expedition - Face orcs, trolls, wargs, wights and other older and fouler things with a tabletop translation of Shadow of War's Nemesis System - Play weekly in a campaign that will span years in game time.

How to prepare
All you will need is a mic and a Discord account. You will be using your browser to access the game which will be hosted on Foundry VTT.
What I provide
I am a Rule of Cool GM with a lot of experience rolling with the punches. I will be using ambient music and scene specific scores. Expect combat to be tactical but easily accessible. Combat should be a challenge and not an exercise in frustration. You can expect a lot of roleplay as I am a story heavy GM. I am also a big fan of mysteries and investigations. There will be significant combat here despite all of that.
Gameplay details
In Session 0 we will go over player and GM expectations including deviation from lore as written in the Lord of the Rings. Session 0 will be free. Lines and Veils will be a Google doc linked to you. Same for Stars and Wishes. The first before campaign begins. The second after each session. Breaks and X cards will be handled in game or over direct message on Discord if you are uncomfortable doing so publicly.
