The Song of the Spirits (A Ghibli Inspired D&D Story)
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
The World of Akroma is a land where spirits influence the very fabric of life. Deep within ancient forests where gods still walk among mortals, the ethereal symphonies of spirits fill the air, guiding the world’s magic. But… what happens when the song stops? As the Era of Songs begins to fade, a haunting melody — the Last Song — begins to echo through the hearts of all humanity. Is this song a herald of doom, or a warning of something far greater on the horizon? It is up to you to uncover the truth behind this mysterious tune. Will you rise to the challenge? Or will you fall prey to the darkness creeping ever closer? This will be a level 10 Campaign, feel free to use any method of stat generation and take an artifact class magic item. Feel free to dm me any questions that you have about the game.
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
In this Ghibli-inspired world, you will: Navigate a world of vibrant forests, ancient magic, and mysterious spirits Face armies of powerful mages and protectors of the divine Confront the shadows that threaten to plunge the world into chaos Discover lost secrets and forgotten gods as you search for the meaning behind the Last Song Key Campaign Details Level 10 Campaign Free choice of stat generation method All players receive an artifact-class magic item to start Feel free to ask questions — I’m here to help! All Players Joining this campaign will get a free 1 on 1 Session 0 to get ready for the first session!! Feel Free To DM me and we can start to get your character ready for the first session!

Rule of Cool
One of the best one-shot games I’ve ever played. From beginning to end, I felt truly included and seen; not just as a player, but as a person. Dylan/Alyx has an incredible talent for storytelling and player engagement. Their ability to make everyone feel welcomed at the table, no matter their playstyle or experience, is something special. If you get the chance to play at their table, take it. You won’t regret it.
I was accepted to the game, asked a bunch of questions about the vibe and tone of the party so I could match it. Played one game where I spent 50% of the time waiting to join the party, and four days later was informed hat the rest of the players had changed their mind about adding a 5th player. Host did not refund the session.
