About the adventure
A 1-20 campaign featuring a re-themed Abomination Vaults that should tie more neatly into the themes of the soon-to-be-released Spore War adventure Path! In Abomination Vaults, explore a dungeon untouched for hundreds of years. A group of adventurers stopped a scheming sorceress before she could claim her revenge, but the villainess left behind foul plots, bizarre creatures, and dark secrets. This 1-11 megadungeon will offer challenges for new players and old, and I'll be swapping out some themes and a lot of creature tokens. Expect a bit of easing off on the low-level encounters, a bit of ramping up on the higher-level encounters, and new creatures even for system veterans (I plan to pull from Battlezoo Bestiaries and other APs). It's a high-combat, high-exploration adventure with horror themes. In Spore War, join the elves of Kyonin in cleansing the Tanglebriar, a demonically influenced jungle under the domain of the nefarious demon lord Treerazer. While details are light for this AP at the moment, I would expect a lot of cinematic fights with a bit of diplomacy to start things off. This will take us all the way to 20! For this adventure I expect to use XP leveling during the Abomination Vaults megadungeon but will likely switch to milestone in Spore War. XP during Abomination Vaults will be capped to 11th level as a result!

About me
I'm Ryan and I love running Pathfinder 2e! I came on over from DnD 5th edition and have been running 1 to 4 games a week for about 4 years now. My style tends towards cinematic, fast-paced combat with a lot of humor. I love doing ridiculous voices for my NPCs and letting players get away "rule of cool" shenanigans. I've got an active Discord community posting about Pathfinder, video games and the like. Come on by and join a table! All tables are of course queer-friendly and we have a friendly Discord community for folks trying to wrap their heads around Pathfinder 2e.

Creating your character
We'll put our characters together mostly before the session. We're starting at 1st level, but will have the starting gold of second level characters (30 gp). Variant Rules: - Gradual Ability Boost - Either restricted free Archetype 2-8 OR offering bonus feats through narrative (this'll be up to player discretion as we chat about the campaign pre-session 0 and in session 0). - Several house rules around problematic items that won't matter for your level on characters, but some other house rules around ancestry feat access that will be handy (General Training and Unconventional Weaponry are available for all ancestries, for example)
Note: We are in Book 1 of Spore War with a composition of bomber alchemist, dragon stance monk, liturgist animist, and bloodrager barbarian!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a free Foundry Forge account, a decent quality microphone, and a basic understanding of the system! You'll be able to creature your characters on the persistent Forge server.
What Ryan brings to the table
Full digitally prepared maps, hand-sculpted character tokens with dynamic rings, ambient music with at least an attempt at character voices (I'm no voice actor but I try), over 100 foundry modules to make gameplay immersive and highly automated (and allowing for much quicker combats than many tables have!). I will have both ambient sound in the game and pipe in additional music. Generally I am amenable to improvised actions/Rule of Cool but it'll be a little less effective than having a bespoke feat to do a similar thing. I try to run all social encounters as Influence, meaning that you could for example roll Crafting to Make an Impression on an alchemist if your character has Alchemical Crafting.
Homebrew rules
I have a big list on the server around easing Treat Wounds, giving a few Human-specific ancestry feats to all ancestries, and other QoL upgrades. I do use Keeley's hero point rule (if you use a hero point and roll 1-10, add 10 to the result)

How Ryan creates a safe table
Safety tools are mostly on the X-card front; I am running a spooky game but it's mostly standard fantasy violence with a little body horror tossed in as a treat.
