Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

You play as an undead champion in service to a terrible lich. You devoted yourself to his cause in exchange for what you desired most. Entombed until the day your service would be required, that day has now come. After the climactic battle that led to your master's defeat, you have been awoken to resurrect him—a daunting task, as the realms are more than eager to ensure the lich remains dead for good. ◾The Story: A nightmare has long haunted the realms of Ultgard, an enduring shadow cast by Tar-Azul the Terrible. For generations, his insatiable hunger for knowledge and power has brought the people to their knees, their lives mere fuel for his dark ascent. Countless heroes rose to break the yoke of his tyranny, yet all fell before his might. But not all sought his end. A chosen few, driven by desires greater than freedom, bent the knee to the lich. You were among them. What you craved lay beyond mortal grasp, and so you knelt before the tyrant. In a rare moment of cruel grace, Tar-Azul granted your wish—a boon paid for with undying servitude. Bound to his will, you were entombed deep within his hidden crypts, left to slumber until the time of his need. Generations passed, and at last, the hour of reckoning came. The mighty rose against him, heroes whose names would etch themselves into Ultgard’s annals. They shattered his reign, unearthing the secrets of his immortality. In the climactic battle, Tar-Azul, desperate and undone, severed the eternal tether of his soul. His final act unbound his essence, awakening you from death’s embrace. You rose at his bidding, his soul now the fire that animates your flesh. His last command echoes within you, unyielding and absolute: "Resurrect me." ◾What To Expect: This dark fantasy setting is inspired by "Diablo," "Dante's Inferno," and games from FromSoftware (makers of "Dark Souls" and "Elden Ring"). Players can expect fitting themes and, true to its inspirations, tactical and dynamic combat. That being said, the narrative still takes center stage, meaning player backstories will be essential for immersion. Theater of the mind will be used for social encounters, battle maps for combat, and exploration will be supported with handouts. ***** Campaign Rules: https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-OEwuOPguiHosoxeUuu_

Serge is a great GM. I played a one-shot with a few other folks and he put in the effort to ensure our party was prepared for the night, walked through the guidelines up front, ensured everyone in the party were all engaged in collaborating on the story based on our players, then added drama and ambience with music, sound effects and visuals to enhance the experience. A lot of fun and I look forward to joining another campaign with him soon.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Serge, such an amazing GM! My wife and I booked a private 2 player session and we couldn’t have asked for a better expirence!!! Serge was so kind and well explained to us new players and didn’t mind taking his time to make sure we understood what was going on so we could really enjoy the story and gameplay of the session. 15$ bucks is a huge deal for the quality of the session he provides if you’re looking for a GM to host you don’t hesitate book serge immediately you won’t regret it!

A great DM that offers a very challenging but fair encounters along with amazing story moments that keep the player very engaged. Also does a great job narrating moments for characters to feel powerful when the moment calls for it.

Had my first DND tabletop experience with Serge. Had an amazing time. Really enjoyed the tactical combat and challenge he presented. He was patient with myself and friend learning how to play and despite some rolls going against the group even our failures turned into fun outcomes! Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be inviting friends to future games!

Amazing one-shot experience! Great with giving all the players a character moment, patient with beginners (like myself), and presents tough but fair combat. Genuinely was not sure if we were going to make it to the end. Cannot wait to play at his table again.

How to prepare

We will be using Discord and Roll20. Sessions will be voice-only, so a decent microphone is required. Create your character before the session using DnDBeyond or Roll20. And if you haven't used Roll20 before, I'll assist you in creating a character for a seamless experience. Alternatively, you may use a pre-generated character (for one-shots). Also, bring snacks and drinks—we're in for a wild ride!
