About the adventure

About me
I don't use any kind of generative AI for my games. I'm the kind of person who spends my free time either playing, gming or thinking about tabletop rpg's. I love every aspect of it, the drama, the character development, the sadness and the romance. Itoh is maybe the friendliest, most inclusive, fun, and supportive GM I have ever had the pleasure of playing with. He fosters an extremely player-focused, rule-of-cool drenched, dramatically imaginative game that is everything you could want from a tabletop experience and more. Itoh is a wonderful storyteller that checks all of my boxes. Our Monster Hearts 2 campaign just wrapped up and it was SO FUN! The NPCs had a lot of girth to them and it was very fun to encounter them. I'm definitely going to play many more games, and you should do the same.

Have played 3 monsterheart campaigns and a fight with spirit game. Genuinely one of the best people I have had the pleasure of knowing. As a DM he allows his players a ton of freedom to create characters the way you want. Itoh is very laid back and makes sure all of his players are comfortable with what is happening in game I can not get enough of his style of DM and recommend anyone new or older players to join one of his games.

Genuinely one of the best GMs out there! Itoh truly tailors the story to match your party's dynamic and always makes sure you feel like the main character. I've always been a bit hesitant to get out of my 5e bubble, but Itoh makes it very easy and is right there with you to explain what to do whenever. His games have opened my eyes to other TTRPGs that I wouldn't have even thought twice about had it not been for his games.

Great storyteller and accommodating as a GM, super friendly and patient with new players. I appreciate that Itoh really advocates for his players and for his characters and wants to see them succeed - his approach to GMing is very collaborative and it's a refreshing way to play that keeps me excited to come back week after week!
Character creation
Creating your character
We will do character creation together in session 0. Those familiar in this system will ask about house creation and I have a prebuilt house that we will be able to edit the majority of although some of the story requires certain specifics in my control. Playing a very young or very old character is completely fine but I will probably advise that the majority of the party is adults or none of them is. I can write for either. I would not recommend playing extremely good or extremely evil characters, the challenges involved in the world will punish either fairly strongly as anyone familiar with the series will know.
This game is starting in 111 and the house is residing in harrenhall. it is also biweekly! (every other week)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
No knowledge of the rules or system is needed and only a passing knowledge of the world will be. Players are more than free to use webcams but I do not. I use a microphone to communicate and this is a live game but if you cannot use a microphone you are more than welcome to type, so long as you can listen and keep up.
What Itoh brings to the table
I will provide a way to roll dice, character sheets and the book itself. Some scenes will have maps and others I will be able to provide a 3D render of specific locations but the game will largely be Theatre Of The Mind.

How Itoh creates a safe table
Every game I have will have a discussion about the safety tools we use. My number one priority in games is player safety and ASOIAF is a very dark world but I am willing to veil or line practically anything and if you have any concerns about a particular topic I will gladly work with you to tackle it. We will cover safety tools and lines and veils in session 0. This game will have combat but it will be not be common and it will be dangerous and deadly. I follow the fiction fairly tightly when I run games, so if your intention is to play someone who takes his honour seriously I will often prompt you if you feel it is slighted and possibly put you in situations where it is challenged. The vast majority of this game will be roleplaying, mysteries and interacting. There will be a downtime element in which we will improve your character off screen as well as having some NPC interactions during these downtimes.
