Adventures in the Shire // One Ring 2e Mini-Campaign // 🏳️🌈
The One Ring 2e | Campaign
About the adventure
We will be playing through the Starter Set adventures for The One Ring 2e! All the characters are Hobbits, going on adventures that Mad Bilbo Baggins ropes them into. This is a beautiful game, made for maximum player agency in pursuing goals in an open world-- the world of Middle Earth. From the core rulebook: It is the year 2965 of the Third Age and the Shadow is returning. Twenty-four years ago, an alliance of Elves, Men, and Dwarves defeated a horde of Orcs and Wild Wolves, under a sky darkened by Giant Bats, inaugurating a new era of prosperity for the Free Peoples. But twenty years is a long time for peace to last, and in many dark corners of the earth a shadow is lengthening once again. Rumours of strange things happening outside the borders of civilised lands are spreading with increasing regularity and, while they are dismissed by most as fireside-tales and children’s stories, they sometimes reach the ears of individuals who recognise the sinister truth they hide. These are restless warriors, curious scholars and wanderers, always eager to seek what was lost or explore what was forgotten. Ordinary people call them adventurers and, when they prevail, they hail them as heroes. But if they fail, no one will even remember their names…
This is a mini-campaign that takes place entirely in the Shire! All the characters will be hobbits from the generation between the events of the Hobbit and those that take place in the Fellowship of the Ring.

Sets the Mood
Playing at Isaac’s table is like stepping through a shimmering veil into a realm where your character matters, not just as a stat block, but as a soul with depth, heart, and consequence. From session one, it’s clear that Isaac isn’t here to oppressively railroad you through a pre-determined story from atop some high tower; he’s walking beside you, gently nudging open narrative doors with the quiet grace of a woodland lord. Player character choices ripple meaningfully, relationships bloom like mallorn trees, and even the smallest moments feel steeped in lore and luminous care. He listens like it’s magic, because for us players, it is. ✨ There’s a quiet brilliance in how Isaac holds space for you: with warmth, patience, and a deep creative empathy that feels less like game mastering and more like...storytelling stewardship. You’re not just included; you’re invited to co-create, to grow, and to belong. There’s room here for vulnerability, laughter, emotional arcs, and the occasional goblin punchline, all held within a tapestry that somehow always makes sense. He brings the atmosphere, the music, the mood, and because of the immersive experience he creates by gently meeting you wherever you're at, you, too, bring more of yourself than you expected. If you’ve been wandering the dark wilderness of storytelling ambiguity, or getting slammed with rigid railroading GMs, know that Isaac’s table is a welcoming Lothlórien. The spaces Isaac create feel bright and safe, so you can feel brave. His gracious Celeborn-esque wisdom and presence are the perfect compliment to any battle maiden needing a supportive and guiding hand as she rides into battle.
Had a great one-shot session with Isaac! He created a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space to learn the Daggerheart system. The session was well-balanced with roleplay and combat seamlessly woven into a tight, engaging story within the confines of a one-shot format. Rules were explained clearly, and the pacing was excellent. Highly recommend for both new and experienced players!
Isaac has built a wonderful and supportive community of players. His pacing in game is good, but still allows the players ample time to explore the world and roleplay as much as they are comfortable. He is very much a “player first” DM and does not railroad you through the story.

How to prepare
Required: ✅ Microphone ✅ Discord account ✅ Foundry VTT Suggested: 🙏 Webcam // I don't require anyone to use a webcam if they are unable to or are uncomfortable being seen, but it will absolutely enhance the experience of the game if we are all visible to each other. Faces are great for improv! I'll send you a PDF with the basic rules. There's about 17 pages of rules to get you started. I also recommend watching the following videos from Will at World's End on Youtube, especially the first two: - One Ring 2e Character Creation - Combat in One Ring 2e - Gaining Shadow in the One Ring - Running Councils in the One Ring - Journey Rules for One Ring 2e
What I provide
I have Foundry VTT, which is great for One Ring, with beautiful character sheets and lots of compendiums available. No matter your experience level, I set a welcoming, inviting tone at my games. Your questions are good, your baggage from your last game is not too much, your experience matters to me! Pull up a chair, friend. I’m a musician and an artist at heart, so I love incorporating graphic design elements, musical soundtracks and ambient noise, beautiful maps, and character art to enhance the experience of the game. I think the biggest thing I bring to the table is a flair for the dramatic. I was a musical theater kid in high school. Character voices. Storytelling. High drama. Heartrending conflict. This is the stuff I like. Very much.
