About the adventure

This module is very friendly to new and veteran players alike! I have taught dozens of people to play DND, and DM'd for people who have played for decades. The adventure is set a short distance from the city of Neverwinter in the Sword Coast region of the Forgotten Realms setting. The Sword Coast is part of the North — a vast realm of free settlements surrounded by lawless, untamed wilderness.

How to prepare

Players need to have a mic so that they can communicate timely with the group. I have a discord channel if we need to use that. Players will want to keep notes on items that are given to them and they should know what abilities they have access to.

What I provide

I have the master tier in DND beyond along with almost every, if not every race and subclass type. Everyone is welcome to use that to create your characters. I have this module on roll20 as well. I will occasionally use voices for recurring characters. I enjoy some ambiance for music, but nothing overpowering or distracting. I do try to make combat more tactical based off what your fighting. I lean more towards the rule of cool despite spending thousands of hours learning the lore of the game. I can split hairs, however, I find that to be generally unfun. We are not here to argue about a collaborative story telling game, we are all here to enjoy ourselves! Thinking outside the box is rewarded, and inspiration is given for collaborative game play. I encourage you to ask me questions throughout the sessions. I believe in the yes and, no but. With an infinite amount of possibilities I know we can come up with something.

Gameplay details

Session 0, I will go over your PC concepts and what you want to build with you. We will discuss the types of magic items you'd like to see in the game. We will discuss how I deal with rolling for stats, hit points, starting feats, magic stores and more!

How will character creation work

Despite this module saying you can only play certain races and classes, I will not pigeon hole you into this. If it is official content I am on board. Starting level will be 1. Stats will be rolled 4d6 drop the lowest, but if you roll poorly that character wouldn't go into adventuring so re-rolls are a case by case basis.
