About the adventure
The world of Boogie Wonderland is rich with history. Set in the groovy world of 80s and 70s music and characters, players will make characters based on 80s and 70s songs and artists and will journey across the lands to discover the secrets of a dark threat from 50 years ago that has appeared once more. You guys will travel around the continent of Boogie Wonderland, battling monsters, corrupt politicians, gangs, and eldritch beings. You'll collect 80s themed magic items with wacky twists that'll affect roleplay for better or for worse. You'll grow closer to each other and to the unique NPCs of this world that can grow and change alongside you. Find out what's going on, why you're involved, and why the violent Killer Queen is out for your party!

Creating your character
Characters will need to be discussed with me beforehand so we can come up with some great ideas on how to incorporate their backstory into the world. They will also be discussed at the free session 0 so people can build them there as well. We will be starting at level 1 for character creation. Your characters must be based on a song from the 70s and 80s, even if that's just loosely, that's okay. Once you're invited to the discord, you will have a private channel where you can discuss your character with me.

What to expect from me: - A free of charge session 0 to figure out your character's connections, figure out lines and veils and help beginners make their characters - Character Voices and Acting from a theatre background - Music from the 70s and 80s playing at all times, sometimes to match a character in the scene, sometimes for ambience - A relaxed DM style that will nearly always let you attempt an idea you have - A drive to tell a fun, yet gripping story - Fast response times and lots of planning with each of you getting the cool moments and connections to the world that you need - A campaign that will push the party together and make them care for one another as a family - Helping new players learn how to play During sessions, I will be sharing a screen on Discord that will have: - Images of characters and locations you're currently interacting with so you further immerse yourself in scenes - A combat tracker so you can keep track of turns - The current song that will be playing to broaden your palette to music from the 70s and 80s

Pick a song from the 80s to base your character on. We can work together to use that song to come up with unique abilities your character might have.

How Tristan Spear creates a safe table
We will be doing a short 1-2 hour session 0 free of charge where we will discuss what to expect from this campaign. This is where I will also be explaining how lines and veils work and the concept of the X, N & O card. We will help new players set up characters there as well. There will be a 15-30 minute break about halfway through the session.
