About the adventure

Once there was a calico who belonged to an archdruid. Or a golden retriever who slept in a tree that was once a Staff of the Woodlands. Perhaps a tabby who lounged daily on a spell book, or a red panda blessed by a god. Whatever the circumstances, you are an Awakened Animal, like cats, dogs, alpacas, otters, albatross, and more, who have gone on an adventure for your own reasons. Adventures that have brought you to Gullet Cove, a place where Awakened Animals have gathered, being one of the few places that have adapted the town to allow the animals to live as full citizens. But like all towns, there are problems that only capable adventures can solve. A game that is more of a lighthearted fair and probably a large amount of pet based puns, a good way to be introduced to Dungeons and Dragons as a system, or just to play something different. There are several adventures in the campaign, so it may only be four weeks, or it could go on far longer depending on player interest.

About me

Dungeon and Dragons and TTRPGs have been a staple of my life since I was in the single digits. I've had experience in all sorts of systems, from good old DnD to Shadow Run to Dread. If its a game system, chances are I've played it at least once, but of course I have the systems I'm most familiar with. Fantasy, sci fi, something more realistic, and even the occasional horror, I hope to run a variety of games for people. I love creativity and I love the great stories that come out of several people's ideas mixing together. Rules and modules are guidelines, but what matters is everyone is having fun. While I prefer games that are more roleplay heavy, combats and puzzles are certainly fun as well.

Character creation

Creating your character

There will be a free session zero. The characters will start at level 1. They don't need to be created beforehand, we'll work on them together over Discord.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a mic, but not a webcam. A Discord and a roll20 account is a must. Nothing else will be required since roll20 will provide dice and a sheet to work on.

What Sabre G brings to the table

I will bring the Animal Adventures and Faraway Seas pdfs so character creation will go smoothly, as well as a place to play in roll20 and Discord.

Safety

How Sabre G creates a safe table

This game is meant to be more lighthearted and will be looser on the rules in the name of fun. As such, while mechanically an awakened animal can 'die,' I know doesthedogdie.com exists for a reason, so animals will not die if anyone playing is not comfortable with that. Instead if a character dies, they go into the story equivalent of being sent to the farm.
