Starfinder Mech Campaign - MECHAGEDDON!

Starfinder Mech Campaign - MECHAGEDDON!

Starfinder | Campaign

About the adventure

Do you dream of jumping in a giant robot and saving the world with your friends? Do you have a shelf full of plastic models? Do you want to fire all the missiles?! Welcome, mech nerds. Brand new level 3-18 Starfinder adventure path. Beginners welcome! Starfinder is an action-packed science fiction setting that takes place in the Pathfinder universe. This system is heavily based on D&D 3.5 and will be familiar to anyone who has played D&D or Pathfinder. You've almost graduated from the New Valor Defense Force, and your final challenge at the Proving Grounds approaches. After this you'll be fully fledged mech pilots, ready to take down the rampaging colossi who threaten your world. We play the game RAW but you are welcome to use 3rd party character options with approval by the GM. We will be playing with the following variant rules: • Specialized Uses for Resolve Points. This variant rule from Starfinder Enhanced gives players more options to spend their resolve points on. This rule is completely optional, characters who ignore it will fare just fine. • Alternate DCs for combat maneuvers. Starfinder's default KAC+8 makes the DC for maneuvers punishingly high. The default DC for combat maneuvers will be the enemy's KAC which will encourage more diverse tactics than just dealing damage. • Scaling 0-level spells. This variant rule from Galactic Magic ensures that spellcasters always have reliable magic to damage their foes. Game details: • Action-packed adventure with lots of intense combat. • Quicker than normal leveling. • Animated spells & weather effects. • High-resolution maps and tokens. • Voice acting for NPCs. • Ambient soundscapes and music. • Hosted on Roll20 for gameplay, Discord for voice chat. Webcam optional. • Standard Starfinder ruleset. • Discord used to chat with group members in between sessions. • Newcomers are welcome to join at any point during the adventure. • Roll20 compendium access to books.

Game style

Rules as Written (RaW)

Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.

Combat Heavy

“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

How to prepare

Please discuss character creation before the first session in Discord. Make a free Roll20 account, a free Discord account and make sure you have access to your character sheet.

What I provide

I will bring premade tokens and premade character options, scary voices, music, and high-definition maps. You just need to bring your imagination.

Gameplay details

This game will use safety tools like the X card to ensure that it's a fun roleplaying experience for any type of player. I use RAW Starfinder rules and any official sourcebook is allowed. I do reward creative problem solving within the system and will sometimes defer to the "rule of cool".
