Learn to play Dragonbane
Dragonbane | Campaign
About the adventure
Learn to play Dragonbane! Dragonbane is the swedish version of DND though with a grittier dark fairy tale vibe to it. Join me in a homebrew city that you can help add on to as we adventure. You are from Krowesgate, a city caught in a vicious civil war. Though recently ancient ruins with powerful and dark artifacts have been discovered under the city. The Baron of Krowesgate has tasked you with recovering something, anything from the depths of the ruins to help turn the tides in this desperate war.

Mac's was a gem of a GM, always willing to listen and be inclusive with player input. This campaign never felt forced with many player agency choices becoming highlights for our players and still progressing the modules narrative. The combat portions where tuned up at times at player request with fair warning should we of missed the inherent implied threat before asking. I mostly play from a very improv and sandbox angle and was able to maintain my agency and have fun making my own player driven choices while experiencing a driving and engaging narrative, WITH fun easter eggs and personal NPC interactions developing along the story. Mac's very approachable and cooperative GM'ing style would help any player new or experienced really feel like they are part of the narrative! 10/10 - Approachable, collaborative, fun. (Just like games should be)
Mac is a good, flexible storyteller who is willing to pick up and run with player ideas - not every ST who claims to run with the ‘rule of cool’ does so fairly, which can feel really disruptive. I’ve never gotten that sense, and I’ve always interacted with him as a player in a way that leaves you keen to play, and that in a game where it’s important (like D&D, Aliens or Lancer) that the rules be followed reasonably fairly he’s always managed to balance cool with rules - that’s not easy, and I’d recommend Max for these sorts of games.

How to prepare
you will need a mic and a roll20 account.
What I provide
I offer custom tokens to players using ai image generation. if this isnt your cup of tea that is all right, i use a lot of ai tokens for npcs and monsters. I offer interactive story telling and world building, so if you want to assist in building the world this is the game for you. Though dont feel pressured to do so. I also often use character voices, they are usually terrible but my players tend to enjoy anyways. We will be doing primarily theater of the mind, with roll20 for dice rolls and discord for communication. though if we get into a particularly tough or tactical combat then combat maps will also be provided.
Gameplay details
we will be doing character creation in session 0. i will also be running a mini campaign of 4 sessions for this where we learn how to play. after that i will create a new campaign and raise the price to 15 usd per session.
