Strength of Thousands: PF2e Adventure Path

Strength of Thousands: PF2e Adventure Path

Pathfinder 2e | Campaign

About the adventure

Strength of Thousands is a heavy Role-Play format game. It does have some combat but still rewards players for being clever. You have finally been picked and selected to join the magical college of Magaambya! Wither it be from your family, tribe, hardwork, the school taking notice of you, or you pushing against all odds to join. You travel across lands into the Mwangi Expanse to reach the school to unlock the magical gifts created by the Old-Mage Jatembe. Everyone will be expecting much from you as a first year and you will be given tasks to complete while dealing with classes. But at least you will have other students around to help you, unless they see that you're in their own way. But no matter what happens, Takulu Ot, the teacher in the school, will always have your back so long as you keep to the rules. All the way you study and practice the arts, something unsettling is happening under everyone's feet. Would you be able to discover the mystery of the schools past before it is too late! All players are welcome to join, it is a mix of roleplay and combat. There is free archetype, paragon feat, and gradual ability boost. (The campaign will start with everyone being a student for the school. After the 3rd book everyone will end up being a teacher or still close enough to the school to be involved. This campaign has six books in total, reaching from level 1 to 20)

I was a late joiner to Nash’s Pathfinder 2e game, Crown of the Kobold King, and he was very welcoming and accommodating, and most importantly ran a fantastic game! Great storytelling, memorable NPCs, and a good balance of humor and drama. Even when my character's pet ferret met his tragic end, Nash made it a meaningful part of the story (RIP little guy). Highly recommend playing at Nash’s table!

I have been playing games with Nash for quite a few years now, prior to him joining Start Play, across different systems (5E and PF2E), and with different groups of players. From players who have been playing longer than he was a GM to brand new to TTRPGs or new to PF2E and he has taken the time to help out players with everything from character building, to concept optimization, to system rules, and beyond. He encourages creativity, and if you manage to think outside of the box he tends to reward it with either interesting loot or hero points - whichever is appropriate.

I had the absolute pleasure of playing in a Pathfinder 2e campaign of Crown of the Kobold King run by Nash, and I can honestly say it was a fantastic tabletop experience. Nash brings such a rich, immersive energy to the table. The world felt alive with great musical backing, the NPCs had real personality, and the pacing of the campaign was spot-on from start to finish. I played Olaf Grumblechin, a grizzled dwarf fighter/town guard wielding a guisarme, and Nash did an amazing job letting my character shine. Whether I was cleaving through kobolds or getting cooked by lava traps, Nash gave me the space to really step into Olaf’s boots. He made every combat encounter feel meaningful and dynamic and I especially appreciated how he made sure tactical choices, like reach and positioning with my guisarme, actually mattered. The balance between roleplay, exploration, and combat was perfect, and Nash was always prepared, flexible, and genuinely excited to see where the story went. He encouraged creativity and made everyone at the table feel like a hero in their own right. If you ever get the chance to be in a game run by Nash, do it. You’re in for an awesome adventure. 10/10 would go kobold-slaying with him again.

Nash is a great GM who rewards creativity and out-of-the-box playing. They are quite knowledgeable in Pathfinder2e's rules and mechanics. The stories they run are intriguing and fun to be a part of.

Additional details

How to prepare

Be sure to have a stable internet connection, a mic, and a web browser. Having a mouse is recommended instead of using the laptop trackpad. Will also need the players to read the player guide for Strength of Thousands before session zero.

What I provide

VTT and everyone involving the VTT. I will be doing a bit of character voices, bring ambient music, I do apply the rule of cool as flavor or even a lower DC if it is interesting enough.

Gameplay details

We will be having a session zero to go over the rules, characters, and what everyone would want to add. Then after each session we will be going over what each person liked and disliked in that session, you can skip answering if you wish. We will be taking a break after two hours in the session. And I will be having an X card mod into Foundry that anyone can use if something comes up that is too much. If there is something within the game that you have a concern over, with another player or the rules, you are free to message me after the game for us to resolve it.
