The Gilded Quest
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
🎲 Game Setting 🎲 Step into a world of intrigue and mystery! Each session, your party will be handed a unique mission by strange figures in hidden corners of the city, shadowed guild halls, and enigmatic marketplaces. Every adventure is a new “episode” with its own twists, quirky characters, and mysterious items—but don’t be fooled. Behind the scenes, a secretive cult pulls the strings, leaving clues for only the sharpest minds to uncover. ⚔️ The Missions ⚔️ From tracking down a cursed artifact to investigating rumors of strange creatures, each mission is a self-contained story with epic stakes, a touch of humor, and plenty of roleplay. Over time, you’ll notice that these missions have a darker common thread—a cult with grand designs that might go deeper than you ever suspected. Prepare to make choices that will shape not only the fate of your characters but also the world around them!

How to prepare
To get ready for our game, here’s what you’ll need: 1- Mic: having a mic is a must! 2- Accounts: Make sure you have a Roll20 account set up so you can access everything easily. It’s free and pretty straightforward to create! 3- Character Creation: Please create your characters before the first session. I’ll provide guidelines, but if you need help, just reach out!

For safety tools, I like ensuring that everyone is on the same page. I share the link to the Lines and Veils document via direct messages and expect responses to come through DMs as well. During Session 0, I discuss the game expectations and emphasize that participants can reach out to me through DMs at any time during the session.

How will character creation work
I want the character creation process to be fun and collaborative, so we’ll take care of it before our first session. This way, everyone has some time to think about their characters and how they might connect with one another. For stats, we’ll use the standard point buy method it’s a good way to keep things balanced but still lets you personalize your character. Everyone will start at level 3, which gives you a little experience to work with while still leaving room for growth. We’ll create characters in Roll20, I recommend using the Player’s Handbook and other official D&D books.
