About the adventure
Your home town of Willowshire performs a festival to ward off ghosts and evil spirits at the end of spring each year - but it seems that after this year's festival, something has gone terribly wrong. Animals have grown vicious, unnatural weather hangs heavy, and fiendish creatures have emerged in unheard of numbers. A strange curse has overtaken the region, and figuring out its nature and cause is up to you! This level 1-12 adventure takes place over a year in the land of Shenmen, which draws heavy inspiration from horror stories and myths from a wide range of Asian traditions. Yokai, yaoguai, and yakshas roam this land, with both benevolent and malicious spirits part of everyday life and longstanding traditions. You might be a tengu warrior skilled with swords, a tricky tanuki thief with a taste for saké, or an elven bard plucking at the strings of your shamisen - no matter what, your skills can help ensure that your people survive the Season of Ghosts! ...Or you could have your soul devoured by a hungry ghost. But that would never happen, right?

About me
I am Michael, 35, he/him - although I prefer to go by Chrono online. I've been playing tabletop games almost exclusively on virtual tabletops since 5e's release, embracing the playground provided by the relationship between players and the GM. I've been running RPGs on virtual tabletops since 2016, starting with 5e on Roll20. I've had a consistent group of friends and players since that time, gradually expanding into new territory by GMing for a group of people that were strangers to me at the start. Currently, I am most enamored with running Pathfinder 2e on Foundry VTT, which I feel is one of the best systems paired with the best online platform for it. Both the premium modules Paizo is putting out and the extraordinarily well made volunteer modules add immensely to the player's experience. I am free most of the time I am not playing or running a game, so I am always happy to answer any questions my players have. I'm always happy to get a message about my games, be it questions, positive reviews, or criticism! Anything I can do to help make the player experience better.

Creating your character
Players may choose to create characters before or during Session 0, following the normal rules for Pathfinder 2e character creation as located on Archives of Nethys. Notify the GM if you are planning to use an Uncommon or Rare character option of any sort (Most requests will be approved). Do not use a Rare background unless explicitly offered to you. For third party content, ALWAYS ask the GM regardless. This game will not use Ancestral Paragon, Gradual Ability Scores, or Free Archetype variant rules. The party consists of a Kitsune Monk, Kholo Animist, Nagaji Witch, and Tanuki Bard, at level 7.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a microphone of decent quality, the Discord software installed and yourself registered, and a user account on Forge. You will need to know the basic rules of Pathfinder 2e, and should know how all of your class feats and features work. Discord: https://discord.com/ The Forge: https://forge-vtt.com/
What Chrono brings to the table
I will be using the official Foundry VTT modules, optimized for playing the adventure path in a VTT format with unique maps, sound, and music. I also bring a selection of modules that I find make the game easier and more interesting to run and play, including some animations. I am generally free to discuss your character choices, and what might be best from a narrative or mechanical perspective. If you want my opinion about how effective your build might be or how to change it to improve your role in the group, just ask - I won't otherwise 'tell you how to do things'. I use a variety of background music.

Safety
How Chrono creates a safe table
I run Pathfinder 2e mostly by the books, with some allowances for certain 3rd party content that I approve of. Session 0 will be going over the setup of the campaign, safety tools, foundry tips, introducing each character, and establishing the general 'vibe' of the game. I also will run session '0.5' as part of it, using remaining time after Session 0 to begin the campaign. At the end of each session I will go over how everyone felt about the session, and ask for any questions, comments, or concerns. These can be openly discussed or sent to me privately. Even if something is 'small', please feel free to speak your mind. The X-Card is freely clickable on Forge, and will give an alert to all players to cut the scene. I promise you that my games do not and never will contain or accept: T.R.A.S.H. (Transphobic, Racist, Ableist, Sexist, Homophobic) players or content, hate speech, misgendering, deadnaming, explicit sexual content, erotic roleplaying, nonconsensual advances or flirting.
