I can provide pre-made characters or help new players through character creation. I am very new player friendly and even if at session zero we decided to run the harder version of this campaign I will work with new players to make sure that they have a good experience. I love doing voices and the rule of cool is always in effect. I also offer the option of recording the sessions and posting them as unlisted videos on my YouTube Channel to make notetaking easier. If you all choose that the link to those will be in your channel on my discord! By the request of the players that have currently signed up we will be going hardcore mode!

How to prepare
You will either need to create a character or I can generate one for you. You will need a microphone and a webcam is recommend but not required. You should have a DnDBeyond account, a Discord account, and you should get a Forge account (I will provide a link at session zero for that).
What I provide
I use foundry VTT through Forge, and either zoom or discord. While I do think being on camera adds to the Role Play exerience, all that is required is a microphone and a good internet connection . I do character voices and I am working on adding ambient music for my games, but that is a work in progress. I love using the rule of cool and value the player experience over stict adherence to the rules. That being said I also like combining old school difficulty and tactical combat with new school narative roleplay. I do offer session recording as an option if all players want it. This would be posted as an unlisted video for your group only to review. Again, this is optional and we can discuss it at session zero.
Gameplay details
Session zero is free before the first paid session. You will have a discord channel in my discord for your group and I will provide a link to the consent checklist there. At any point in the game you are welcome to stop the game and we can discuss what it was that made you uncomfortable and we can either rewind things or decide how we want to procede. We are here to have fun and safety and comfort are an important part of that.

How will character creation work
Character creation will be during session 0. I will be starting this campaign out at level 3. Stats will be rolled using 1d10 + 8 (I find this gives a ballanced stat line with nothing to low and generally nothing to crazy.) I have a large collection of books availble on DnDBeyond and I allow most things for character creation. Just run things by me first. As third level each character will get one common magic item subject to approval.
