About the adventure
Fifteen years ago, a meteor of crystalized madness fell upon the heart of the kingdom. The blast didn’t just shatter the city — it fractured destiny itself. Now, amid the ruins of Drakkenheim, the faint glow of delerium beckons to the desperate, the devout, and the damned. The factions gather once more: ⚗️ The Amethyst Academy, scholars of arcane ambition, seek to claim the throne and harness delerium’s power at any cost. 🕯️ The Hooded Lanterns, guardians of the fallen streets, fight to purge corruption and restore what humanity remains. ⛨ The Silver Order, zealous and unyielding, vows to burn every trace of the infection from this cursed land. 💰 The Queen’s Men, mercenaries and opportunists, profit in the chaos and dream of ruling the city by coin and blood. 🔥 The Falling Fire, fanatics cloaked in prophecy, would rather sacrifice themselves — and the city — to stop delerium from spreading to other worlds. 🩸 The Court of the Night, ancient vampires and heirs of shadow, rise again to reclaim the throne through bloodline or rebirth, their influence seeping through the cracks of the city’s heart. In this Level 3–15 epic campaign told over 50 sessions, your party will walk the line between salvation and damnation. Every choice shapes the fate of the realm — who rules, who burns, and who ascends. Will you ally with the Academy’s ambitions? Stand with the Silver Order’s purity? Or forge a destiny beyond them all? Expect heavy roleplay, political deception, and lethal combat encounters that demand tactical mastery and emotional depth. Each player’s backstory is integrated into the living lore of Drakkenheim, with unique character arcs that evolve across every act — from hopeful adventurer to mythic legend. In the ashes of Drakkenheim, the crown glitters once more. Will you save the city, rule it… or watch it burn?

Creating your character
⚙️Characters begin at 12th level. You can choose character options from the 2024 Player’s Handbook or the Sebastian Crowe’s Guide to Drakkenheim for options directly tied to the campaign. ⚙️You may use standard array or point buy for the ability scores and MAX/AVE Hit Points at each level with maximum HP for level 1 and the average for each level after. ⚙️You will choose your personal quest prior to the first session which can help to create your own personal backstory and tie to the campaign and setting. ⚙️There are not any home rules pertaining to this campaign. ⚙️We have campaign specific information on our server.

Homebrew rules
We are using Drakkenheim specific rules that include the following: - Epic Bosses. They have Epic actions giving them more actions per round. -New Conditions. A number of new conditions to enhance narrative play specific to the setting. - New Monsters and Stat Blocks. We will be using the new Monsters of Drakkenheim book as well as the Sebastian Crowe Guide to Drakkenheim.

How Chance Russo creates a safe table
⚙️Tools. We will be using Forge/Foundry VTT for the character sheets and their VTT for combat and exploration. ⚙️ Voice. Our boosted Discord server will be used for chatting, announcements and voice channels for the game. ⚙️ Music. We use Tabletop Audio for immersive background music and sounds. ⚙️Rules. We will be using the 2024 D&D 5e ruleset in conjunction with special subclasses, spells, and items from the Drakkenheim books.
