About the adventure

The death curse is spreading, and time is running out. No resurrection magic works anymore - and those previously brought back from the dead are slowly withering, their souls slipping away once again. Despite the efforts of the best mages, and the best clerics, the epidemic is widespread and only seems to be growing by the day. Whispers echo throughout the realm that the possible source of the curse lies somewhere deep within a mysterious island, filled to the brim with strange hulking creatures whose roars shatter eardrums, ancient ruins of civilizations long past, deadly man-eating plants, legions of monstrous undead, and of treasure beyond the wildest imagination for those brave enough to explore. An island called Chult. Adventurers from all over will journey from the bustling streets of Chult's lone bastion city, Port Nyanzaru, and into the wild depths of the jungle. There, they must brave endless dangers: undead horrors, hidden traps, and forgotten tombs. At the heart of it all lies the fabled Tomb of the Nine Gods, a labyrinth of wicked puzzles and deadly traps created by the demonic lich known as Acererak to ensnare the souls of the living and feed them into his artifact, known only as the Soulmonger. The clock is ticking. Heroes must survive the unforgiving wilderness, defeat the hordes of undead that plague the jungles, and conquer the terrors within the tomb before the curse consumes all life. Will you succeed, or will you join the countless others lost in the depths of Chult, never to return?

Additional details

How to prepare

Microphone is needed, a webcam is appreciated but not necessary. A Discord and Roll20 account is needed, the use of D&D Beyond and the Beyond20 extension is optional. You can bring premade characters, just expect them to be tweaked to reflect the starting level.

What I provide

Feel free to send me images to create tokens for your characters. NPCs have their own tokens. VTT provided will be Roll20, with maps already available. Music will be provided and can be requested on Discord. The official WotC module, as well as official supplementary material such as The Tortle Package and DMs Guild content, including improved mechanics and harvesting. If using D&D Beyond, I'm able to share all the contents I currently have within my collection to better create a character with more options.

Gameplay details

Session 0 will be used as an opportunity for the players to get to know each other as well as discuss possible limits and content everyone is both excited to see, as well as what to avoid, as well as to lay out expectations the tables might have before the campaign begins.

How will character creation work

Character creation will begin at session zero and last afterwards up to and until the first session. I'm more than happy to help people figure out what characters they'd like to play as! The Starting level will be 3, and stats will be through the use of the standard rolling.
