Creating your character
ā¦ļøā We're goin to use 2024 rules of D&D ā¦ļøā Characters will start at Level 1. ā¦ļøā Everyone can choose between point buy, standard array, or rolled stats (4d6, drop the lowest). Player's choice. ā¦ļøā Average hit points. ā¦ļøā Standard Equipment ā¦ļøā Characters will be able to choose an Epic Path, a mythic origin that will embed them in the setting and give them hooks, goals, and special treatment from specific NPCs. ā¦ļøā We're going to use 2024 classes and species. Legacy subclasses can be used if they were not updated for 2024. ā¦ļøā We will also use Odyssey of the Dragonlord book that provides new races (centaurs, medusae, satyrs, minotaurs, nymphs, and sirens) and specific subclasses (amazon ranger, herculean barbarian, prophecy domain clerics, hoplite fighter, demi-god sorcerer, and more) that are filled with mythic flavor.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The game will happen in Foundry VTT, using Discord to talk. Webcam is optional. What's needed is: - a stable internet connection; - a quiet location; - a good microphone; - a Forge account; - a Discord account; - a D&D Beyond account; - access to a computer (due to the level of automation and the graphic quality of the game, playing through phone or tablet is not an option).

How GM Khitan creates a safe table
Odyssey of the Dragonlord is an epic adventure that heavily draws inspiration from Greek mythology. Sometimes this can touch on problematic themes (like misogyny, racism, and slavery). I will not focus on these themes, cutting them from the adventure when possible or relegating them to the far, far background when needed. I will make sure that players' lines and limits are respected and that everyone feels comfortable at the table. Before starting you will be asked to compile a form with your lines and veils, the things you don't want to appear in the game, and during the game we will use X/N/O cards, bleed, debriefing, and aftercare, to make sure that the tone of the adventures is acceptable for everybody. We will also use Stars and Wishes, a tool to give feedback to your GM, to ensure that your desires are met. My tables are friendly and inclusive and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
