About the adventure
"I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men." Welcome to Westeros, the world of George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. The year is 283 AL. The whole Seven Kingdoms are at war as Robert Baratheon does battle with the mad King Aerys. The realm is tearing itself apart... but that isn't supposed to affect you. You are part of the Night's Watch, sworn to take no part in the wars of the realm. You may have been a proud Lord, a ruthless criminal or a downtrodden peasant; now you are all equally brothers of the Night's Watch. Your war is far older and far more important that any squabble over a throne, a war to guard the realm against the Wildlings and against horrors far worse and far stranger. Yet Robert's Rebellion cannot be ignored, and it can only make your watch, dangerous at the best of times, even more hazardous. The axes of the wildlings, the frost of the North and the sneers of the high and mighty await you. Do you have the courage, honor and cunning to defend the Wall and keep your life, your oaths, and your honor? This is a game of Green Ronin's A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying Game, specifically its Night's Watch expansion book. The system lets you create your own castle and characters and tell your own story in Martin's epic, gritty world. This game is based on the A Song of Ice and Fire books rather than the TV show adaptation, but since our story begins a year earlier, differences are minimal and show fans can enjoy themselves just as much. The future events of the series are not set in stone for our story and can be changed by player action. Players will play members of the Night's Watch, which gives a unique feel compared to noble house-based games that are standard for ASIOAF. Players will face dangers direct, treacherous and mystic, and must survive them all if they are to defend Westeros.

Additional details
How to prepare
Players should have a mic but do not need a webcam. Players should have a roll20 account and a discord account. Reading the rules ahead of time and having a character concept in mind are useful but can also be done during session 0.
What I provide
I will bring a roll20 account that lets me use maps, images and music, the core rules for ASIOAF and the Night's Watch setting book, as well as surprises and challenges for the players! Players can expect a good deal of combat-the Wall is a harsh place-as well as plenty of interaction with their brothers of the Night's Watch and even some mysteries.
Gameplay details
We will establish our Lines and Veils during Session 0. As anyone familiar with the books or show knows, Westeros is a brutal, gritty world (particularly beyond the Wall), but there's no need to dwell on the most unpleasant parts of it.

How will character creation work
We will cover character creation and castle creation (we will use the modified Night's Watch rules to create our characters and the Castle they operate from) in a session 0, for which players will not be charged.
