Cracks in the Continent - A World on the Brink of War!
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
The seeds of rebellion run deep in Flaicor as the hatred for the Aietherhall Kingdom has been stewing for some time. But as rumors of the Aietherhall army pushing south, several residents of Flaicor with Family in Crakving begin to call for aid to evacuate their families before the fighting reaches them. But more is going on within the city that neither the army nor the citizens were prepared to deal with. As tensions rise and the Aietherhall army advances, Flaicor finds itself on the precipice of both external conflict and internal upheaval. The country's once-subdued grievances are now surfacing with a vengeance, fueled by fear and desperation. Amid the chaos, a shadowy network of dissenters—driven by a mix of political, personal, and ideological motives—begins to mobilize, working from the fringes to exploit the city's vulnerabilities. Beneath the surface of this growing unrest, a more insidious threat emerges. Strange occurrences and eerie disturbances plague the city, hinting at a sinister force lurking within the city's ancient catacombs and forgotten ruins. As the walls of Flaicor begin to crumble under the weight of impending war and internal strife, it becomes clear that the true danger may not just come from the advancing armies, but from something far darker and more ancient. Will you manage to safeguard the country and its inhabitants, or will you fall victim to the very forces that seek to tear Flaicor apart?

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Storytelling
World Builder
Creativity
We've been playing for way over a year now and the two things that have kept me as interersted in the game as I am now are the world and the freedom we to try in things both in and out of combat. Even after about a year and a half there are still so many questions we have about the world and so many additional/optional things to discover and that's probably the biggest thing for me personally. Also the amount of freedom with combat and other encounters is probably the reason why I've stayed this interested with a character type + class combo that I don't normally enjoy too much, from previous experiences. Music's cool too, don't know what else to say : ^ )
Neem focuses on the story. He will take your character and fully envelop them into his world, bringing even the smallest of details to life. He pushes for creativity and doesn't hesitate to put the actual fun of the game before the rules. His encounters are balanced, world is fun, and the role-playing is incredible. I've never had a bad time at his table
I've been part of Neemster's world and in this campaign for over a year, and it's probably one of the most fun experiences I've had in D&D. It something I look forward to, and it really feels like my character has developed as time has gone on throughout the campaign. There have been a few times when I've almost had to drop due to my schedule, but thankfully Neemster is willing to work with you and reschedule the game if it's possible for as many people as possible. It's always a good time playing in his game ^^

How to prepare
Before joining a session, make sure your microphone is working and is connected to discord. A webcam can be used but is not required. Make sure your character sheet is complete before session 1. No need to have a complete character for session 0 but do have some ideas in mind. Please join my discord when you're ready to join https://discord.gg/Qqm4HC4jgD
What I provide
We will be playing out of the Foundry virtual table-top. I build all of my campaigns on custom maps I make myself. Characters can be stored in any fashion that you desire, as long as I have a copy, and you are comfortable rolling in the text chat or through macros of your character sheet. During the game I prefer to have my camera on to emote more with the characters I'm playing, but no players are required to be on camera as long as you have a working microphone. I utilize discord music player to set the mood with ambient and battle music, and have sound effects to add a little flair to you and your enemies actions. My style leans to the role-play side of things, I want you and your characters to grow and have immersive experiences. So while rules are written to be followed, I will always side with roleplay over ruleplay. Everyone's "Fun" at the table comes before anything else.
Gameplay details
All safety tools will be gone through during session 0, including the sending of a survey about phobias, lines and veils, stars and wishes, and any character information you would like to work with during the duration of the campaign.

How will character creation work
Players will need to have a standard level 3 character prepared before session 1, discussion of which will be had at session 0. Stats can one of these three arrays. -The Specialist: 17 / 12 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 10 -The Mad Man: 15 / 15 / 14 / 11 / 11 /10 -The Razzle Dazzle: 13 / 13 / 13 / 13 / 13 / 13 All standard books are acceptable, but please confirm with me before going with any homebrew.
