About the adventure
The night air is thick with a tense silence, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves stirred by a fleeting breeze. Then, a distant, ominous sound creeps through the darkness—slow, deliberate thuds, reverberating through the ground like muted thunder. Each step lands with a weight that feels ancient, as if the earth itself strains under the burden. Accompanying the heavy footfalls is a low, scraping noise, jagged and harsh, as if something massive is being dragged across the rocky ground. The sound is uneven, sometimes catching on the stones with a bone-chilling screech, other times gliding with a slow, menacing grace. The rhythm of the dragging is as unsettling as the footfalls, like the cadence of a giant predator pacing, searching, its presence heavy in the air. Every step, every scrape, seems to draw closer, echoing off the trees, warping in the cold, unforgiving night. The unseen figure moves with an eerie purpose, its weight and the dragging sound together painting a picture of something immense, something relentless, something far too close for comfort.

“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

How to prepare
No downloads needed just a web browser with decent internet. This is for Foundry and Discord and DnD Beyond. Recommended browser is Chrome. To utilize DnDBeyond you will need a DnDBeyond account but if you have your own method of creating a character without the aid from the DM go ahead. I am fine with people rolling in DnDBeyond, Foundry, or Physical For players with decent quality and minimum background noise I am fine with Open Mic. If mic quality that causes feedback or background noise that may impact the game I will ask you to be push to talk during the game.
What I provide
All source material on DnD Beyond that players can utilize. I play with rules as intended with some aspects of Rule of Cool. Meaning I may deviate from Rules as Written to drive the story forward or for special moments.
Gameplay details
If you have hard Lines and Veils please send them to me ahead of time privately on Discord and I will do my best to accommodate and share for the rest of the group prior to game start. You can always privately or publicly utilize X, N or O cards during the game.

How will character creation work
Utilize DnDBeyond with the campaign I created with the 2024 source material activated. Please utilize only the 2024/5.5 content. Starting Level is 5 Players may utilize Point Buy or Standard Array. We are sticking with basic starting equipment for this adventure.
