Roleplay Heavy
βRoleplay Heavyβ games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Join our team as we travel the wilderness and towns in search of the secrets and histories of the ancient dragon knights...and protect precious cargo from those who might seek to control the power and might of the draconic warriors! New players will work with the DM to build their character and find an appropriate place to join the story. A one-hour session 0 will be scheduled after registering for the game.

This was my first time playing with a pro DM and for a one-shot campaign, Delphi pulled off a special experience. The setting was unique and well thought out, yet with ample room to cater to the players' sensibilities and even customize on the fly. Players' curiosity and creativity were amply rewarded. Delphi administered the session with authority, yet did so while being extra mindful of players' feelings, keeping the story going but without anyone feeling unheard or left behind. Also of note; Delphi knows the rules: very nice to have a DM who understands the differences between all the skills, such as Investigation, Perception, Nature, and Survival!

How to prepare
All players must have a microphone and a relatively distraction-free environment. Ideally, all players also have a working webcam and are willing to use it. Games will be played in Roll20, with character sheets and die rolling on D&D Beyond. Players should have a Roll20 and D&D Beyond accounts before game time.
What I provide
I bring a unique thought process to my games, creating dynamic and responsive stories based on player decisions, needs, and desires. See why so many adventurers keep coming back!
Gameplay details
Secrets of the Dragonauts is a moderately paced classic Dungeons and Dragons adventure set in a custom realm of knights, princes, and dragons. The game is appropriate for mature audiences interested in exploring the frontier and societal challenges of a proud and ancient kingdom during a period of transition. The goal of this game is to have fun. Players' safety and mental health are crucial; all players will always have access to safety tools. Players will be given an RPG checklist before the game to indicate any lines and veils they may have and can update these at any time with no explanation necessary. Additionally, all players will have multiple means to utilize the X card, including on video, VTT, chat, and with a Discord emoji.

How will character creation work
Players will be able to begin creating their characters right away and are encouraged to discuss their concepts in Discord. We will utilize Session Zero to bring the party together, and players are encouraged to come with an open mind and be willing to make adjustments to fill out the party. Players should plan to discuss their character with the DM to ensure an alignment with the lore of Illaxia (e.g. homeland based on species, background, and class; appropriate religion/deities, etc.). A quick guide to the basics of Illaxia will be available for interested players. Note that the DM reserves the right to limit the number of players who may take specific character options (including subclasses, classes, backgrounds, and rarer species) to ensure game balance and give each character a chance to shine as part of the team. Character creation will follow the 2024 Players' Handbook ruleset. All options in the 2024 PHB are available, as are the subclasses and spells from Xanathar's Guide to Everything and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything (adapted to the 2024 ruleset). Species are divided into Common and Rare. Common species can be found in most areas of the world, while Rare species may come from only one or two regions and may be limited. Species may be found in the 2024 PHB or Mordenkainan's Monsters of the Multiverse (adapted to the 2024 ruleset): COMMON SPECIES β’ Dragonborn (PHB) β’ Dwarf (PHB) β’ Genasi (MM) β’ Gnome (PHB) β’ Human (PHB) β’ Kobold (MM) β’ Orc (PHB) β’ Tiefling (PHB) RARE SPECIES β’ Aasimar (PHB) β’ Elf (PHB) β’ Firbolg (MM) β’ Goblin (MM) β’ Goliath (PHB) β’ Halfling (PHB) β’ Lizardfolk (MM) β’ Sea Elf (MM) β’ Triton (MM) β’ Yuan-Ti (MM)
