About the adventure

The Supernatural Protection and Entity Containment Taskforce for Research and Extermination, or S.P.E.C.T.R.E., operates a series of teams across various hot-spots of cryptid activity the world over. You have been selected, whether because of paranormal skills, a close encounter, or purely by chance, to join this important clandestine operation in stewardship of the safety of mankind and the furtherance of our understanding of the strange. Join me for a very special spooky season mini-campaign starting October 4th! This weekly, four session adventure will take your team into the bizarre goings on a small Missouri town while they investigate a series of missing persons centered around an enigmatic new preacher in town. We'll be using Discord for messaging and VC and Alchemy for our VTT. I'll have some pregens made for those who are new and will post the links to the Alchemy campaign and those presets when we get closer to launch.

How to prepare

Make sure you have an account with Discord and Alchemy VTT (the free version is fine!) and familiarize yourself with the MotW system if you don't know it already. We'll go over everything during the first session, but it always helps to have some familiarity!

What I provide

I'm bringing the goods! I have 24 years of TTRPG experience, running a variety of games and systems for players from all walks of life and all levels of experience. I'm hard at work porting the whole Monster of the Week system into Alchemy VTT, which we'll use for character tracking and combat. The overall tone of the campaign will be light, but we won't shy away from the heavier things if they come up in roleplay.

Gameplay details

During session 0, we'll go over Lines and Veils to make sure we're all aware of how they work and how to best use them. Then we'll tackle character creation as a group, so even if you're new to the MotW system, we'll make sure everyone is up and running and ready to kick some monster butt!
