About the adventure
This one shot is set in The Expanse universe by James SA Corey, after the Ring Gates open and colony worlds start being settled. As the crew emerges from the Ring gate into the uncharted Amerigo System, the silence of deep space is shattered by the unsettling stillness of the once-thriving Roanoke colony. The last transmission, cut off abruptly months ago, hinted at something lurking in the shadows—something ancient and unknowable. Now, with the fate of hundreds hanging in the balance, you’re tasked with uncovering the truth. But as you descend into the eerily quiet settlement, the only thing more terrifying than what you might find is what may still be waiting in the dark. The colony's secrets are buried deep, and some things are best left undisturbed. Are you ready to face the unknown?

How to prepare
Characters will all be Level 1, and we will walk through character creation before the start of the game, during a short Mini-Session 0. If you have The Expanse RPG book, feel free to make a character in advance, but it won't be necessary.

I have a player tools document I will send you that includes a character sheet, as well as several other pages of useful reference material.
Gameplay details
During a Mini-Session 0, we will discuss Lines and Veils. The content of this one shot can get intense, but that can exist on a dial. Should players not be comfortable with certain elements of the story, I can and will dial that aspect back. Some of the trigger warnings are misnomers and/or red herrings as I do not want to spoil the truth about the mystery.
