About me
Gamer since the early '80s. Board games, card games, video games, role-playing games, I love them all. I enjoy hosting/running games and game nights, making people feel comfortable, happy, and welcome. With GMing, in particular, I like to assist my players in reaching their goals, creating characters they enjoy playing, and handing out loot and bonuses, even beyond what a pre-written adventure might call for. I enjoy the camaraderie of a group of adventurers working together to heroically achieve goals and become friends, both at and away from the 'table.'

Creating your character
You may create your character before the game begins, or you may wait until Session 0 and do it then. I do like to get started during Session 0, but if we are unable to because people are still making their characters, that is just fine. Any necessary character creation rules will be available in the Discord server.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you need is a sense of humor, a willingness to play and get along well with others, a device capable of accessing FoundryVTT through a web browser and Discord, and a mic and headphones or combo for voice chat. So let's find a ship, find a crew, and keep flyin'. Hope to see you in the Stars!
What Kristin brings to the table
I own everything required to run and host the game (using FoundryVTT and Discord) and will buy additional modules/materials as needed if we decide to continue after the initial playtesting materials have been exhausted. I will provide music and, when possible, sound effects. I'm not great with voices or accents, but I do try - however, I encourage you to do what feels most comfortable to you. You are never required to respond in kind. I like to reward thoughtful play, making people laugh, creativity, and teamwork. I enjoy finding or creating interesting items for my player's to find or be granted by their patron/deity/boss/guild leader/etc.

How Kristin creates a safe table
Upon admission to the game, you will receive a link to our Discord server. In this server, you will find rules and the link to the Monty Cook RPG Consent Checklist. We will discuss any potential issues in private, if necessary, before the game begins or during Session 0, without "outing" anybody's answers. You may bring up any potential concerns or additions to the checklist before the game, during Session 0, or at any time that something comes up you didn't realize might upset you. We can take breaks whenever necessary - just ask me if you need something. And at the end of each session, I will send a link to a Stars and Wishes survey so that you don't feel as if you have to say anything in front of the group that you might wish to remain private.
