About the adventure
First session is free! They say if you aren't mad going into Drakkenheim, you will be when you come out. But you have to risk it anyway. Maybe you have a loved one transformed by the Haze you wish to cure? Maybe you want to impress a faction leader? Or maybe you even want to claim the crown and reunite Westemär? Whatever the reason, you'd better find a band of like-minded adventurers because no one survives Drakkenheim alone. Yes, there are monsters in the ruined city, but they're but one of the challenges you'll face: Haze. Political intrigue. Contamination. Even poisoned food and water. From the mundane to the fantastical, everything seems out to get you. Will you be the one to succeed where others have failed? Journey into Dungeons of Drakkenheim - a campaign fueled by your character's objectives and competing faction agendas. Fifteen years ago, the kingdom of Westemär was plunged into chaos when a meteor struck the capital, Drakkenheim, depositing a new mineral - Delirium - on the land. Now, the city is covered in Haze, and contamination pollutes everything: the food, the water, even the people themselves. Some say Delirium is a scourge and others say the magical mineral will ultimately bring salvation. What will you decide should be done with Delirium and who will you support in their claim to the city? Whatever you decide, what you do will determine the fate of Westemär. What to Expect: 🧩 Faction intrigue, moral dilemmas, and tough choices ⚔️ Tactical combat blended with character-driven roleplay 🏙️ Exploration of the ruined, haunted city of Drakkenheim 😱 Horror themes, including contamination and survival challenges 🎭 Deep, long-term character arcs shaped by player decisions 📜 Prelude adventure: Terror in Tierhaven 🔍 Expanded content Dungeons of Drakkenheim is a dark, horror-themed game. Please carefully review the content warnings before joining. It will take your character from a level 2 naive adventurer to a level 13 seasoned veteran... if they survive. Due to the nature of this campaign, the game won't start until at least 3 players have signed up.

About me
I love having adventures and meeting new people. I prioritize cultivating a friendly table where everyone has fun no matter their previous experience level. In some of my previous campaigns, my players have played strip poker with a demon, helped a dragon sell his poop for magical fertilizer, and broken a mage out of a secret prison. (Wait, was the party the bad guys in that last one?) I support content from independent creators such as Venatus Maps, The DM Lair, The Dungeon Dudes, and more, which gives me access to a wide variety of maps and adventures. As a former teacher, I'm used to helping ease people through the basics as they're learning, and as an (amateur) writer, I'm used to creating narratives to keep the party on their toes. I also enjoy running more standard campaigns and bringing my own polish to them. I have 5 years of experience playing D&D, and almost 3 years of experience as a DM. Campaigns for beginners may be a bit more straight-forward as you master the basics, but don't worry that won't last long!

Creating your character
This campaign uses the 2024 rules. ——— Allowed Options • Most official species and classes. • You may use any Drakkenheim customization options from Dungeons of Drakkenheim or Sebastian Crow's Guide to Drakkenheim (including new backgrounds and subclass options). • A summary of these options is available in the campaign Discord. • These options can be added as Homebrew on D&D Beyond. ——— Character Creation Rules • Create a level 2 character before the first session. • Use Standard Point Buy, Average HP, and Standard Starting Equipment. • Add 1 Potion of Healing and 50 gp to your character sheet (this gold may be pre-spent on PHB equipment). • Link your character to the GM’s D&D Beyond campaign (link provided after sign-up; content sharing enabled). ——— Session 0 Details • If you’re unable to create your character before Session 0, you may choose from pre-made characters for that session. • You’ll be allowed to fully rebuild or update your character between Session 0 and Session 1. ——— Personal Quests and Party Connections • Every character will have a personal quest. • The GM will provide a list of personal quest prompts after sign-up to help inspire your goals. • Session 0 will include time for finalizing personal quests. • Players are encouraged to discuss party connections in the Discord before and during Session 0. ——— Power Balance and Restrictions • Please ask the GM for approval before multi-classing. This helps keep power levels reasonably balanced. • Avoid characters that rely on excessive summoning or large numbers of creatures to prevent one player from dominating combat time. • Gloomstalker Rangers and Evil-aligned characters are not allowed.
First session free! Party currently includes a Paladin, a Sorceress, and a Bard. Party is currently level 10 and getting close to the end game. This table is 18+.

What Dazzle brings to the table
What the GM Provides • Drakkenheim-specific backgrounds and subclass options (written by the Dungeon Dudes) • D&D Beyond content sharing (includes PHB, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, and Xanathar’s Guide to Everything) • Ambient audio from Darkraven Games and Michael Ghelfi Studios (https://michaelghelfistudios.com/) • Beautiful maps sourced from Ghostfire Games, custom maps created by the GM using Dungeon Alchemist, and additional maps from other creators (such as Cze & Peku) • Token art by Caeora (https://www.caeora.com/), Venatus, Ghostfire Games, and others • Campaign written by the Dungeon Dudes (as originally seen on YouTube) • Reliable hosting through Forge VTT • Private Discord server to connect with your fellow players • A friendly, inclusive environment hosted by an experienced GM ——— About the GM My goal as a GM is to put players first and adapt the game to the group’s needs. Outside of combat, I focus on satisfying roleplay (including character voices—though I only have a few!) and letting the party lead the action. I’m fine with some above-table talk, as long as it doesn’t become excessive or drift into meta-gaming. During combat, I generally follow the rules as written (PHB and DMG), but I’m open to creative, out-of-the-box ideas and willing to bend rules if it leads to fun, memorable moments. My goal is to provide a game where your actions feel meaningful and have consequences—but never unfair ones. I consider a session successful if everyone at the table has fun!
