About the adventure

This 5e D&D game will run Weekly, and your input determines the direction and content of the Campaign. This will be a story, highly influenced by YOUR input and decisions. You will begin, as so many do, as fledgling adventurers, determined to find your way in the dangerous and sometimes deadly world you live in. Unknown to you, Intrigue and Danger surround every step you take. The world moves on every hour according to its own agenda. You will encounter many NPCs; some may be shopkeepers or tailors or blacksmiths. They all carry information that may or may not be valuable to you. If you can interact with them, you may glean their secrets! This campaign heavily uses Factions, quite a few of them. Your ultimate destiny is never pre-determined. Your interactions, all the ones you choose to take that is, guide your invisible path along the way to whatever awaits you. Evil creatures of great power work their own plans all around you AND also good creatures of equal power. Who will you join and who will you choose to oppose? The campaign is never a "railroad". It is a matrix of paths, and it will be up to you to determine with one(s) you will take. Narrative Storytelling has more of a presence in this campaign than most others, puzzles of all types. I would say, equal measures of Exploration, Interaction and, of course, Combat. You should already be familiar with D&D 5e and Fantasy Grounds Unity but is not required, you will be taught as you go!

The intent of this is to be rich in story and gather great players together to play out a grand heroic campaign! You will start out with little to no knowledge as to where to go or what to do.........truly fledgling adventurers.

How to prepare

The Demo version of Fantacy Grounds, Discord and a working microphone are all that would be necessary. A notebook with questions would be advisable in order to make the best use of time during gameplay.

What I provide

I will provide a private Discord Server for the voice chat meeting room and the Fantasy Grounds Server, including all supporting modules. I add and subtract House rules as needed. Rules are to be followed, except in situations that "we" decide they don't. I am not a professional writer nor actor though I will do my best to be both. Homebrew is available if it is thought out and makes sense for the Campaign.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a flexible session with varying difficulties to challenge their abilities, both player-wise as well as character-wise.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be accomplished on the first session, using the Fantasy Grounds Server Wizard. Any method in the Wizard can be the method used for Ability Scores except Starting Equipment, which will be "purchased" from a local vendor, in game. Use the character wizard to create your character. If you use dice roll for abilities, you may reroll as many times as you wish until you get at least 1 stat that is 16 or higher. Then, if you still do not like the numbers, you have to use point-buy.
