The Bronze Realms
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | One-Shot
About the adventure
Yeenoghu Returns! This special one shot is a continuation of the cliffhanger last session, following the battle with Azzolith, Queen of the Black Desert. WELCOME TO KEMET SEBA! THE LAND OF NEW STARS! Its been 50 years since the Black Swords arrived and changed everything. Nobody knows who they were or where they came from, but they devastated the coast, pillaged the trade routes, and destroyed the other kingdoms. Pharaoh Taranoth the Great was the only one who could stop them. Sadly, after defeating defeating the Black Swords and scattering their army to the winds, Taranoth the Great was killed by an unknown assassin. Since then, his grandson Taranoth III, or Taranoth the Terrible as the people call him, has ruled Kemet Seba with an iron fist. But a new power rises out of the sand dune to the east! What was once a promising merchant house has become a dangerous cult dedicated to the Sun God Aten. This small, yet powerful group with access to arcane magics has the potential to save Kemet Seba, or destroy it once and for all. Through a twist of fate, you have become aligned with the cult. Will you use your powers for good? Or will you succumb to temptation? THE BRONZE REALMS: The Bronze Realms is an open table/episodic D&D 5e campaign inspired by the Bronze Age Collapse & the OSR. Sessions will be held every Saturday night from 6pm to 10pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). Open Table: New players are welcome at any time! Episodic: Players are free to come & go as their schedules allow. HOW TO JOIN: If you wish to join, please submit an application to join along with the answers to the following questions: 1) What shall I call you? (Not your character's name, i.e. your RL first name or your preferred nickname) 2) How long have you played D&D or RPGs? What kind of experience do you have? (No minimum experience required, other than knowing how to play D&D. I just want to know where you are in your RPG journey.) 3) Your character is about to go on a long journey through the desert. You can only bring five (5) non-magical items with you. What do you bring? 4) You are with a party of two (2) other players characters and one NPC companion. After exploring a dungeon, the party discovers 79 gold pieces, three (3) valuable gems, and a magic weapon. How do you divide up the loot? 5) You have 400 gold pieces that you've been saving up for a really cool magic item. You successfully pass your persuasion check with the merchant to bring the price down, but he only drops it to 450 gp. You can't make another persuasion check. What do you do? 6) What is your Discord ID? (Please use the copy & paste function, so I can find you on discord.) Good luck, & may the gods be between you & harm in all the empty places you must walk.
If you are new, please answer the questions in the "How to Join" instructions. If you are a returning player, please say the name of your character. Thanks!

Rule of Cool
I went in as a tag along in a long going campaign. Aaron pulled me into the game not just as a player but as a part of the overall story. I had more fun listening to the lore and past game develop than I did anything else. And I helped kill a purple worm at lvl 3! Really awesome DM and I'd definitely play with him again!
Aaron set the right tone, serious game but with fun and jokes too. He created a group that supported each other and had a good. 4 of us were level 1 and the others were further ahead. The challenge should have killed us, but the team Aaron built brought us all through the encounter together (and was still challenging fo the more advanced players.
A no-holds-barred romp through SIGIL (how the hell does one pronounce it ?) the City Of Many Portals, non-stop encounters, silly tongue in cheek humor and fast leveling await you, fair adventurers... Feel like relaxing, not overthink your game and step in for a loose string of fun fights, magic item shopping and tavern talk ? Go no further: this is the session for you.

How will character creation work
New characters start with two (2) level eight (8) characters (one primary and one backup), and must be created before your first session. 1) Use the Charactermancer in Roll20 to make your character(s) – do NOT import a character from D&D Beyond, make an NPC, or edit the sheet manually. 2) You may use character options from: The Player's Handbook (PHB) The Dungeon Master's Guide (DMG) Monsters of the Multiverse (MoM) Tasha's Caludron of Everything (TCE) Xanathar's Guide to Everything (XGE) Van Richten's Guide Guide to Ravenloft (VRGR) 3) The following are BANNED: Artificer Class Identify Spell Detect Magic Spell Goodberry Spell Create Food and Water Spell Create or Destroy Water Spell Artificer Initiate, Keen Mind & Gunner Feats Guild Membership Background Feature Mist Wanderer Background Feature 4) You may determine ability scores by any method you choose: Standard Array, Point Buy, or Roll. But if you roll, you can only roll ONCE per character and you have to stick with it! Characters can't commit suicide just because they have low ability scores. 5) Spend some time thinking about languages, backgrounds, and tool proficiencies. Each one will have a specific use. See the handouts in Roll20 for more info. 6) Most human characters worship one or more deities of the Egyptian Pantheon (PHB p299) while most non-humans worship non-human deities (PHB p296). 7) Do NOT take the starting equipment packages. Roll for starting wealth and purchase your starting equipment from the equipment handouts. 8) Next, give each new character 35,000 EXPERIENCE POINTS and use the Charactermancer Level Up function to level up to level EIGHT (8). 9) TEST your character! Do a practice battle either by yourself, with a friend, or with the GM. If your build doesn't work, figure that out now before the game starts so you can rebuild your character. 10) Don't forget to determine your character's height and weight (PHB p121). You may add as much or as little background to your character if you like. Nothing is required except to be prepared to answer one question: WHAT DO YOU WANT?
