As a GM, my goal is to provide you with expectations, challenges, and rewards to create a memorable story and experience tailored to your character within the greater canon of Cyberpunk: Red. JJ is such a fantastic GM! He is communicative, kind, and runs a very immersive and smooth game. I think more happened in a single session with JJ GMing than in any other game I've ever played simply because he keeps players really engaged and moving along. I don't know what else you could possibly ask for in a GM. If you're thinking about joining one of his games, just do. JJ's energy also fosters a great community around him, so not only is he great as a GM, but the players he draws to his tables are lovely as well. Really love that I stumbled into LANCER and had JJ as a GM to introduce me to the game.

I was curious about Lancer RPG and JJ made jumping into an ongoing campaign with veteran players super easy. He puts some serious effort into his game preparations. That clearly shows in his amazing visual aids, both for combat and during roleplay scenes. Combat in Lancer is a key element and JJ makes sure to hit all the good notes. Enemy variety, goals that go beyond killing enemies, battle maps that feel like a playground for fun and the level of challenge that makes you think you will die at any moment while still being winnable.

JJ is without a doubt one of the best Lancer game masters on this site, the maps are incredible, he’s very good with new players, and combat is incredibly well balanced and satisfying. If you’re looking for a good Lancer game JJ is one of the best options out there!

How to prepare
You should have your own copy of the Cyberpunk: Red core rule book, Discord, and a character idea. Hop onto our server https://discord.gg/f38DepKR and ask @JJ for the 2045 role and take a look around. For a character sheet, I highly recommend using the Cyberpunk Companion App which is available on both PC and mobile. From the app a code can be generated with which I can import your character sheet into the Foundry environment.
What I provide
This is a Play by Post game that is largely run via text through our discord server, we have channels set up for in character and out of character interactions as well as a private thread for each character personal plotline. I am a reliable gamemaster and have been running this game for nearly a year for a number of players. Currently we are upgrading the way we do things so there has never been a better time to come on board. In addition to this we have our own interactive CitiNet DataTerm environment built in FoundryVTT that is online 24/7 where you can login and manage your character sheet, use the automated shopping system, view available contracts and much more. All DLC and official supplemental content is enabled on this server. I post actively between the hours of 0:900 - 11:00 and 15:00 - 17:00 BST monday-friday. Improvement points are distributed at a flat rate each Friday with bonus IP being awarded based on your exploits during the week. You will be able to interact with other players when your personal stories cross paths or in the public ‘Edge Bar & Grill’, a favorite spot for Night Cities Edgerunners. Contracts are available on a weekly basis which will be held as live gameplay sessions (booked separately). These contracts are NOT necessary to progress or enjoy your time on the 2 0 4 5 server! Anyone can join and work their way up to that Luxury Beaverville Mcmansion! There are no assets I can legally provide you. You will need to have your own copy of the core rule book at minimum.
Gameplay details
This game will be played on Discord through typed text and images. I will represent combat encounters either through theatre of the mind or using maps as needed. You are free to pursue any your own goals in Night City without fear of being railroaded, I am adaptable and good at improvisation meaning the city truly is your oyster. That is not to say you won't be provided with a plethora of plot hooks, you are simply free to ignore them and do your own thing. How will character creation work
Please create a character using the ‘Calculated’ method as described in the CPR Core rule book pg,40. Get an image of how your character looks and describe a brief paragraph about their backstories and motivations. Feel free to go into as much detail as you want here. We welcome interesting and deep characters in 2045 as it adds to the richness of our shared world. I highly recommend the Cyberpunk Red Companion app https://cyberpunkred.com/#/ as it allows you to easily create a character and serves as a validation tool, using a code from this app I can import your character sheet to the foundry server. If you need any help during the character creation process reach out to me in discord and I will be more than happy to walk through it with you.
