About the adventure
In an audacious bid for power the Cult of the Dragon, along with its dragon allies and the Red Wizards of Thay, seek to bring Tiamat from her prison in the Nine Hells to Faerun. To this end, they are sweeping from town to town, laying waste to all those who oppose them and gathering a hoard of riches for their dread queen. The threat of annihilation has become so dire that groups as disparate as the Harpers and Zhentarim are banding together in the fight against the cult. Never before has the need for heroes been so desperate.

I have a passion for character development and incorporating my players' stories into my world, sometimes making permanent changes to the world depending on the heroes' actions. My tables strive to have an air of inclusivity. To help facilitate that, I have many guides and aides that will help promote a welcoming and safe place. No matter your story, background, or who you are now, you will be welcomed and respected. I started playing DnD with my Boy Scout troop 12+ years ago. Since then, I have played in or run many systems and am always looking for a reason to meet new players and try new ideas. I use discord for voice and will use either roll20 or Foundry for character sheet management / maps and handouts. Creating your character
We will make characters together during session 0. No characters made ahead of time will be accepted. We will use a digital dice roller for all rolls. Any homebrew or 3rd party content must be approved before session 0 to be allowed. I have robust options for 3rd party content you may use, as well, that are considered pre-approved.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a microphone, laptop/desktop, and a stable internet connection. Also, having a Roll20 account and discord account prior to signing up will speed things along.
What TheHatMaus brings to the table
I will bring Roll20 for character sheet management and maps. A private Discord server will be used for vocal interaction. I find music distracting, so outside of a few character's having themes (yours included) I will be avoiding ambient music. I will bring all necessary maps and tokens for the adventure, as well.

How TheHatMaus creates a safe table
Prior to the game, I will send everyone Monte Cook's RPG Consent Worksheet. That will serve as the baseline for our Hardlines and Veils. During session 0, we will discuss and expand upon that list. There will be some parts of the game that may be triggering, but they are not so story necessary that I can't write them out. At the end of each session we will go over Stars (things that went well0 and wishes (things you want more of/ want to change).
