The smoking hill -Age of ashes, part 2/6 [Free session zero]

Pathfinder 2e | Campaign

About the adventure

Welcome everyone to this edition of Age of Ashes part 1, a Pathfinder 2e Adventure that will take you from level 1 to level 5, as you are sent to discover the mystery behind the plume of smoke rising for the old citadel on the nearby hill. This game is open to anyone, regardless of their level of experience with Foundry, Pathfinder 2e or TTRPG in general so don't be shy. I don't bite ;) Additionally should people manifest continued interest the game will continue in the rest of the adventure path, possibly all the way to level 20 and the end of the adventure.

Recruiting notes

This game will use the Ancestry paragon, Free archetype and Gradual attribute boost variant rule. These should automatically be added to your Wanderer's guide sheet when you join the campaign group (you will get an option to synchronise your rule when you put the campaign code in the correct place). It is also beginner friendly, whether that would be about pathfinder or foundry

How to prepare

A mic is highly recommended but not strictly necessary, unfortunately as the GM my hand are quite full while in the game and, if you only use chat messaging I cannot guarantee to always see your message the moment they are posted. A Wanderer's guide Account is necessary (don't worry it's free). Character creation and level up will be done in session, but you can prepare in advance. If you know nothing about Pathfinder rule, I recommend looking at the Archives of Nethys website, specificaly the player's guide section. https://2e.aonprd.com/PlayersGuide.aspx No need to memorise it, but a quick read never hurt For access to Foundry you DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING, you will be given a link in or prior session 0, this link will allow you access the game server. On your end you only need a PC with access to internet. I repeat DO NOT BUY A LICENSE, that's only for GM need.

What I provide

Most of what I bring is the Foundry server and the adventure path itself. Do note that we will be using Wanderer's guide for character creation and level up, but Foundry sheet are highly recommended (but not required) for actual game use. Foundry sheet allow for a lot of gameplay automation making game smoother and faster and will be found on the game server itself on thus will note be accessible outside of session, in contrast with Wanderer's guide sheet that will always be available.

Gameplay details

Breaks are expected to happen several time a session, if for no other reason that ADHD is omnipresent and piss break are a given. Expect the first 10-30 min of a session to be used for going back into the game, reminding everyone of what happened last time. We won't "hot" start a session. Beyond that session 0 is the best place to immediately warn each about Line and Veils, but those can be updated at any time during the game if need be.

How will character creation work

Groups presentation will occur first, then Line and Veils (if any) will be disclosed by each player, then game presentation will begin followed by character creation. For character creation, you will start at first level; when making your character on Wanderer's guide you simply need to synchronise your setting by inputting the campaign code on the appropriate place (it should be easily found on the first page of character creation), this will make sure you use the same rule and content book than the other.
