About the adventure

This is a private subspace message, set to erase itself after playback... do not try to record it. To all the rogues, tech-skilled adepts, force practitioners, and consulars – whichever category you belong to – my agents have been tasked with delivering this message to you because of your particular set of skills. A precious gem, known in certain arcane circles as the Jewel of Yavin, is concealed behind formidable protections and secure vaults. This jewel holds great value for us, and we desire its acquisition through discreet and covert means, if possible. If not, employ any means necessary. The location of this coveted item is Cloud City, and we will provide you with the necessary support and resources for its retrieval. A diverse approach is essential for this mission, so please be prepared to collaborate with a team of other experts and mercenary assets. We eagerly await your response. - Holo Deletion in Progress 🪐About the setting and the adventure 🪐 From its inception, "The Jewel of Yavin" is set to be a pulse-pounding jewel heist, a delightful fusion of "Ocean's 11" with the expansive Star Wars universe. And what better backdrop for this high-stakes caper than the iconic Cloud City on Bespin? In addition to highlighting the remarkable skills and talents of Scoundrels, Slicers, and Thieves, this adventure promises a wealth of social intrigue opportunities. Furthermore, it offers moments for characters skilled in piloting and combat to truly stand out as well, as with all heists something will go wrong so a skilled ex-jedi or dark adept in the force could be key. ☁️ What is Cloud City? ☁️ Cloud City is a tibanna gas mining colony that floats amidst the clouds of the planet Bespin, situated in the Anoat sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Ruled by Baron Administrator Lando Calrissian an iconic character in Star Wars history, the city made every effort to steer clear of unwanted Imperial scrutiny. Unfortunately, Imperial forces eventually took control of the station and established a garrison. However, following the Emperor's apparent demise, the Imperial Garrison was abandoned during the Iron Blockade, and the planet was subsequently liberated creating a thriving metropolis for trade and entertainment with a dynamic lifestyle.

About me

To me DnD is not just an escape from the world which it can be but I aim to help my players tell the story of their characters throughout the campaign and heavily encourage player choice, consequences both positive and negative and self-expression. To give a little example from recent adventure with Rime of the Frostmaiden, a player wanted to create a reason as to why their character was so heavily involved in Ten Towns, the reason was that their character was a member of a cult that wants to overtake Bryn Shander and change the politics of Icewind Dale to a magiocracy. Which to me as a DM that loves big ambitious goals and gives us so much back and forth. About my experience I've been DMing and playing since 2nd edition but my true development came around 3.5 and now 5e. I have about 11 000 hours on Roll20 alone, not to mention in person and just online on another platforms. A very simple way to describe my games is a more serious roleplay and character focused campaign. For any of you who are lovers of the RPG genre would be Dragon Age or the Neverwinter games for the online territory. I am a big fan of Matt Colville and many other youtubers/streamers like him.

Paragon is a STRONG GM. Great with character voices, maps, background music, and overall look and feel of the adventure. Makes it really immersive. We had our first combat session. He's great at knowing the rules. And he is a master of the Roll20 interface, which really makes for a fast and efficient combat encounter. There are even 120 second counters for each turn, which speeds up play and makes it more realistic. He's also solid with monster tactics. So combat is a nail biting challenge!

Character creation
Creating your character

You can either create a character in advance, and I'd be delighted to review it, or we can collaboratively create a character during our session 0. In this initial session, we'll discuss the team dynamics, how each character fits into the group, go over the general rules for character creation, and explore any optional rules or considerations together. Talk about safety, the campaign itself of course, how 5e star wars is different from DnD etc.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

You will just need a roll 20 account which is free and some basic understanding of 5E Star Wars which is not that different from 5e dnd but its worth skimming through the rules. Also, Discord is either installed or a website account, you can use Discord in the browser as well.

What Paragon brings to the table

I will provide the adventure but beyond that! ☑️custom artwork to add to the adventure both manual and AI-generated to complete the experience and make it even more immersive ☑️ Hundreds of new maps are added to the adventure to fit scenes and locations where none are provided in the adventure or encounters ☑️ Custom soundtracks for combat, environment, sound effects, and even dialogue ambiance soundtracks ☑️A good knowledge of Star Wars 5e as I have been DMing it since it came out ☑️ New handouts and interesting items ☑️ My designer experience to help make the adventure more fun for the group if needed but also interweave your backstory with the world and make it come to life and matter into the world, not just a railroad adventure. As well as design the game so that your actions matter on a larger and smaller scale to the world. I have been designing tabletop and video game adventures and writing stories for a decade, and Try to bring a fresh and unique flavor to your adventures with me and the group. ☑️ Animated maps and effects whenever possible
