Stolen Fate ♦️ Pathfinder 2e ♥️ Collect cards & save the world!
Cards!
About the adventure
Not even destiny itself is safe when powerful forces seek to seize control of the future, and now it falls to you to step in and ensure that fate is not stolen from the world! Selected by the power of a magical Harrow deck, you will find yourselves quickly swept up in a race to gather and control the scattered cards. This powerful, mysterious artifact is tied to the destinies of all who live on Golarion. It’s a race that must be won, for to lose means all possible futures fade save for one—a stolen fate meant to bring power to a very select few and leave the rest of reality in ruin! In this new level 11-20 Adventure Path from Paizo, you will gain access to powerful individual cards of the world of Golarion's fortune-telling deck known as the Harrow. The deck calls to you and as you gain more and more cards, you will gain access to amazing powers. Can you build the perfect "hand" of five cards to augment your high-level character build? We will be using Free Archetype rules and starting at level 11, so be ready for some high-powered Pathfinder 2e action!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi! I'm Scott and I've been running roleplaying games my whole life. It started when my older brother got D&D for his 10th birthday and he recruited 7-year-old me to be his DM. I've run all manner of games, but most of my experience is with D&D (minus 3.x). Three years ago, I got into Pathfinder 2e and that's been the focus of most of my home games since, though I have also run short Alien, Savage Worlds, and Starfinder games. I enjoy a good mix of roleplay and tactical play. I tend toward long campaigns with epic storylines in my home games, but I enjoy running short games as well. I've been running games on Foundry for four years. 2023's OGL kerfuffle inspired me to bring my Pathfinder 2e experience to StartPlaying. I've just passed my StartPlaying first anniversary and it's been a great time!

Creating your character
You can make a new 11th-level character or I can help build one that fits your needs. You can make this character in Pathbuilder ahead of time or we can set them up directly in Foundry before we start. We will use the Free Archetype and Gradual Ability Boosts variant rules, as laid out in the Gamemastery Guide and Archives of Nethys
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be playing on Foundry VTT. You will need a Chrome or Chromium-based browser with GPU acceleration enabled. Firefox mostly works, but sometimes has issues. We will also be using Discord for voice (and optional video) chat. Please have a working microphone and headphones/earbuds to prevent echo. If you are building your own character ahead of session 0, please send a link to the discord. Otherwise, we can build them live inside Foundry.

How Scott creates a safe table
This adventure is a fast-moving multi-planar romp with lots of opportunity for roleplay and combat alike. Characters will be built at 11th level with the Free Archetype and Gradual Ability Boosts variant rules. The Stolen Fate Players Guide will be made available with full details, but this adventure is a great fit for Liberator Champions, Harrow Sorcerers, and Thaumaturges of all kinds. But just about any class except a Superstition Barbarian will have plenty to do.
