About the adventure
Call of the Netherdeep is an adventure module with themes of heroism, underwater horror and fantasy set in the Exandria campaign setting. In this adventure you can expect to: βοΈ Explore lands ravaged by a war of the gods π Meet a rival party and either work with them, or against them π Find the artifact of a forgotten hero and follow in their footsteps π Discover a mystery from a world torn asunder by a great calamity π Delve into fun and unique dungeons such as an extraplanar underwater labyrinth of lightless trenches, infused with the distorted emotions of a demigod The adventure is written as a mostly linear adventure with some more sandboxy elements in the second half, but I prefer to allow the players to help steer the narrative in any direction they prefer.
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
βRule of Coolβ emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a systemβs rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Roleplay Heavy
βRoleplay Heavyβ games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Weekly campaign, sessions are expected to last for 3 hours. I strive to make my table welcoming for people of all genders, orientations and identities. If this bothers you, this table is not the right place for you. How to prepare
You will need: π₯οΈ Computer π€ Microphone (voice chat on discord) π§ Headphones (combined headset/mic is also fine) ποΈ Free accounts on both discord and foundry Optional: π· Webcam is always encouraged but never required π Familiarity with FoundryVTT (can be learned on the fly) You will NOT need to: πΎ Install anything πΈ Purchase anything
What I provide
π High quality microphone and camera with very fast internet connection. π A hearty embrace of the Rule of Cool. I love to say "yes, and" but I also know when to say "no, but." π Tough but not unfair combat encounters. The stakes will be high and death is always a possibility but I will not actively try to kill characters. π Player-driven story. The world and its inhabitants react to the characters' choices and the consequences of their actions. π Many different voices/accents and personalities for most characters. π A willingness to accept constructive feedback and constant desire to improve.

How will character creation work
Characters can made inside of the Foundry VTT or imported from D&D Beyond. All content in officially published non-setting source books is allowed as well as relevant setting related source books (Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, Tal'dorei Reborn, Call of the Netherdeep.) If you want something more exotic, feel free to ask and we'll work something out.
