Gameplay details

The content warnings below detail items that might appear in the game, not items that are guaranteed to appear. Part of our Session 0 will involve going over lines, veils, and other content that the table might wish to avoid or minimize. Players who join mid-game should discuss these topics with me during our One-on-One Session 0. There are certain themes that are central to the text and cannot be avoided. Call of Cthulhu games necessarily play on themes of body horror and mental illness. Tabletop role-playing games are meant to be an escape from the troubles of our daily lives. Above-table prejudices, including racism, misogyny, homophobia and transphobia are NOT acceptable at my table and will lead to your immediate removal.

How will character creation work

Characters should be created per standard Pulp Cthulhu rules. The campaign offers pre-generated investigators, which are recommended as a starting point for new players, as well as character templates for creating adventurers. Character creation will be part of Session 0 and will establish all of the investigators within the campaign as well as any relationships with NPCs or other tie-ins to the initial storyline.
