Game style
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran βRules as Writtenβ emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
βRule of Coolβ emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a systemβs rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Dungeon Crawl
A βDungeon Crawlβ is a scenario where players navigate a dungeon or labyrinth-like environment for the entirety of the adventure. It emphasizes battling monsters, collecting loot, and avoiding traps to survive to the end!
Combat Heavy
βCombat Heavyβ games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Mr. Squirrel was an excellent GM! Great improv sense, easily picked up on what myself and other players found interesting and molded the story to support that. Also went out of his way to weave my character backstory into the campaign in a meaningful way. Highly recommend playing a game with him if you can!
Although I was only with Bryan for a few, short sessions (I think 6 or 7), it was an amazing time! I played Candela with two others with him as my GM and although it wasn't standard Candela, it still had that stress-inducing thrill! It felt like a safe space, he went over a nice stoplight system, and he would always respect the identity the players in the session (this is very important to trans folks like me). I would highly recommend Bryan for anyone out there looking for a GM who is willing to put in the work even for sessions that end up 2 hours long only!
I've really enjoyed all of our sessions with Bryan. He's quite good at managing the technicalities, taking care of some stuff for us, and helping to create atmosphere and story. I particularly appreciate the number of times we've triumphed, or escaped, by the skin of our teeth. And how also there is room for interaction with NPCs and each other and a chance for character growth, not just levels but also story. The biggest value comes in having memorable moments with friends, and he's definitely facilitated that.
I've played in 22 sessions with Bryan. He's been a wonderful GM and brought together a great group of people to play with. He has a good range of voices for his characters, though I did worry for him after encountering a particular kobold by the name of Nakpik. That character seemed like quite a toll on the ol' voicebox. He's skilled at creating a fantastic experience within Foundry, both the musical accompaniments and helping each member of the group out with various macros to make their experience that much smoother. He always responded out of session with any questions that I had concerns about. I'm just saddened that my timezone isn't the best matchup, otherwise I would be back.
