About the adventure
In the shadowed lands of Middle-earth, the Dark Lord Sauron's forces surge forth, threatening to engulf the realms in chaos and darkness. Amidst this turmoil, a band of unlikely heroes will emerge, each bound by fate and driven by a quest that could turn the tides! From the silent woods of LothlĂłrien to the echoing halls of Erebor, you must journey across lands rife with peril and intrigue. Ancient secrets and forgotten relics lie hidden, waiting to be unearthed, while enemies, both seen and unseen, plot in the darkness. This campaign, set against the backdrop of the greatest conflict in Middle-earth, offers a unique path for you, the players to carve out your story that will alter the course of history itself. You'll meet famous characters such as Gandalf the Grey, Beorn, Elrond and many others! My style of play is quite similar to Matt Mercer's delivery: Silly voices, descriptive narration in and out of combat, and atmospheric music.

Gameplay details
This campaign is expected to run for at least a year, weekly. The roleplay and combat per session will vary. There will be sessions of entire combat, there will be sessions where you run into no combat. On average, you can expect about a 50/50 ratio. In addition, there's an almost wargame-like component where you bolster your forces against the coming darkness on a macro level. This game is rated R for intense graphic descriptions, horror elements, and harsh language; it contains the following general themes: ⢠Fantasy ⢠Horror ⢠Humorous ⢠Gritty ⢠Death

How will character creation work
We will have a FREE session 0 and decide together where in the adventure we'd like to start, talk about characters, how to use Foundry, build backstories, game expectations, and go over the use of house rules, if any are voted on. We will build our characters on Foundry, through dragging and dropping from my custom compendium.
