About the adventure

Hack, sneak, or talk your way though the classic 1st edition starter module, Keep on the Borderlands, updated for D&D 5e ! Venture past the thick walls of a lonely fortified outpost to the perilous Caves of Chaos, and claim fortune and fame! Or get eaten by a goblin. I expect this game to last 12-15 sessions.

How to prepare

Mic and discord are required. Webcam if you feel like it. I will have a cam. If you are new to D&D or Foundry VTT, let me know before the game and I'll help you.

Gameplay details

This is a classic freeform dungeon crawl. Horrible monsters are doing horrible things, and the heroes will deal with them. But beware, one wrong turn could be your doom. Use caution, subterfuge, and be willing to negotiate, and you may survive. NOTE: XP will only be given for treasure found and quests completed, not for combat. Killing all monsters is not necessary.

How will character creation work

You can come with a 1st level character or make one in session zero. Characters sheets can be written into Foundry if you prefer. All official D&D 5e content allowed except races, which must be PHB or Volo's. If you want any 3rd party publishers (no homebrew) content you must submit it for approval before hand. Session zero will probably start playing with arriving in town, meeting NPCs, and getting quests. No combat.
