About the adventure
Learn More By Reading The Kingmaker Player's Guide Here - https://downloads.paizo.com/Kingmaker+Players+Guide.pdf For generations, the Stolen Lands have spanned the southern border of Brevoy. Many attempts have been made to settle them, but to date, none have succeeded, making these 35,000 square miles of wilderness the largest swath of unclaimed land in the entire River Kingdoms. As tensions mount in Brevoy, one of Rostland’s swordlords hopes to change that fact; she plans to issue charters to several groups of adventurers, sending them south into the Stolen Lands to reopen old trade routes and defeat the bandits and monsters who have made them too dangerous to use. You'll explore the wilds of the Stolen lands, face it's many dangers, settle a nation and build your kingdom. But you're not the only ones with plans for the Stolen Lands, and powerful forces are sure to oppose you. Can you defeat your kingdom’s enemies and become leaders of one of the greatest new nations in the world? A level 1-20 kingdom management campaign set in the fantasy world of Golarion!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Greetings fellow d20 enthusiasts! I'm Josh, I've been DMing for 8 years now, I started with D&D 5e, but moved over to primarily playing Pathfinder 2e about three years ago. To me, tabletop gaming is such a good way to bring people together and show them how much fun stories are when they're shared with others. I mainly focus on d20 systems and heroic fantasy stories, but occasionally dabble with other systems like Blades in the Dark or Edge of the Empire. I've run numerous campaigns, from Lost Mine of Phadelver, to Curse of the Crimson Throne, to Abomination Vaults, to Hell's Rebels. Running games for new players is always a great experience because you get to see the moment when it "clicks" for them (usually when they oneshot the boss monster with a nat 20) and you know you've played a role in one of their formative tabletop memories. Stories are always better when you get to share them with others.

Creating your character
After our one-on-one session 0, players can make a level 1 character before the first session. That way on game day, we can jump right into the action! If you want to take an uncommon or rare character option, please ask me first for approval. -A note on alignment- Kingmaker works best if the PCs share at least one primary alignment in common, but as long as the players work well together any alignment can function in this campaign.
Current Party - Level 10: Shin - Human Rogue Feindel - Human Dhampir Magus Aerel - Elf Kineticist Veylan - Elf Dhampir Fighter Rags - Kobold Cleric of Apsu
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To play all you will need is the following: • A discord account for voice chat (no camera necessary) • A browser that can run FoundryVTT (like Chrome or Firefox) • A PC or Laptop, as Foundry doesn't work on mobile or tablets. Other than that I will provide everything you need to keep it as simple as possible for you all. Just show up and have fun!
What Josh brings to the table
I offer classic style DMing, not old-school meat-grinder games, or modern monster prom dating simulator games, I'm run games of heroes against the forces of corruption and evil. I'll be running Kingmaker with all the villainy, corruption and hardships that come from a wilderness hexploration kingdom building campaign and being the ones to stand against it. If that sounds good to you, then I'd love to have you onboard!

How Josh creates a safe table
Once you join the game, we'll do a quick one-on-one session 0 over discord, just to go over what you can expect from the campaign and my own DMing style. I have a couple homebrew rules I like to use to keep gameplay fun and fast, giving you lots of customization to play with, and keeping gameplay focused on the action instead of the minutia. • Free Archetype - https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1333 • Ancestry Paragon - https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1336 • Gradual Ability Boosts - https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1300 • Diagonal movement doesn’t cost extra movement. • Rather than splitting gold and deciding who takes what magic item every time, we use a group loot sheet where everything looted as a party is stored for convenience. Canonically, it's all split amongst your characters, but this group loot cannot be accessed during combat and items must be dragged to your character sheet for you to be canonically holding them. • Magic items are typically identified automatically when you obtain them, though it's GM discretion if they want to keep the information hidden, such as if the item is very unusual or unique. If an item is cursed, you don't learn about it automatically and must Identify Magic if you have your suspicions. • We don’t track mundane ammunition, unless the GM decides that ammo scarcity becomes relevant. • We don't track bulk and carry weight, you can just carry stuff (within reason). • As long as someone in the party has Healer's Tools and is trained in Medicine, you recover all hit points during Daily Preparation. • If your background offers a Lore skill, you can swap it out for any other Lore skill of your choice that would make sense for your character. • Flexible Spell Preparation is available for free to anyone who wants to use it as a bonus feat. • Archetype dedication feats say "You can't select another dedication feat until you have gained two other feats from the <blank> archetype", because we're using free archetype, you can ignore this.
