Vecna: Eve of Ruin. Level 1-20 Adventure (Welcoming All)
Build up a relationship in Faerun, make friends and form comradery. Uncover sinister cults and help avoid the impending doomsday!
About the adventure
Vecna… the biggest, baddest lich in the whole of the D&D history, or so I’ve read. Hes out there looking to rewrite some of the multiverse if not all of it... we can't have that. So lets establish ourselves and get ready for the Eve of Ruin. Starting at level 1 and working your way up as a party of go getters, to saving the literal Multiverse - this is some avengers level stuff and you are invited!. Throughout the first 10 levels we will do some old modules and homebrew to help flesh out the characters and bring everyone together - as well as that it will help with secrets and allow tension to build before the main event. It also means you will not be paying for any additional homebrew extensions only the module. You get all the homebrew stuff free ;)

About me
I've always been a fun and outgoing person that can relate to many people easily but always prefer to be silent when possible. I have fun watching other people have fun and compounding upon it to make a more memorable experience. I always wanted to try D&D and other TFRPG games. I never really got the chance to whilst in school and now I am a player and a DM I try to bring my personality into that. I do not like the line between DM and player and try to be more friendly and open with my players as I consider them all friends even if that is only for a short time. Here is a list of all my campaigns/One Shots and also links to their videos https://itsscottish.net/dnd-info/

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Sets the Mood
Voices
Inclusive
Matthew is a great DM, really knows his stuff when it comes to DnD and flexible to how you want to play the game. You can talk to him about character development if you want it, personal quests and it makes a genuinely nice atmosphere for players. The players he gets also makes the sessions great, good session for beginners and veterans alike
One of few instances where combat is pretty fun instead of more-so a chore, plus the humor with misses and just the jokes cracked in general during lulls or combat are funny and enjoyable. Helpful when things go array on the technical side, provides fun scene/combat music and has some pretty cool foundry maps.
Scott is dedicated to players experiencing a great time. And his games are fun. Thanks to it being led by an extremely knowledgeable GM who doesn't shy away from helping players or explaining how rules go. He embraces the chaos, and at the same time, keep things running smoothly and makes sure everyone is comfortable. He's also very well prepared for game sessions and makes the scheduling clear with everyone. Scott also takes time to flesh out the world and sprinkles in curveballs to keep players on their toes and refreshed. He has good knowledge of the VTT and makes great use of the available tech to keep players immersed in the game.
Playing Dnd with Matthew has honestly been one of the best experiences I’ve had playing dnd because he knows the rules but he isn’t a stickler about them at all, if something makes sense to him, he’ll let you do it as simple as that, which allows you to be as creative as you want to in any aspect of the game. Not to even start with the excellent all-exclusive scheduling he does for the group each and every week that makes sure no one misses a game unless you absolutely can’t make it. With choosing Matthew to DM your sessions I can assure a fun time and lots of laughs for everyone playing because I know my group sure has.
Character creation
Creating your character
Character art will be made during Session 0 and we can also talk about your characters wishes and any personal things that they may want to work through in that time. We will start at level 1 but very quickly get upto level where we need to be. Characters will be created on DNDBeyond where all the sourcebooks needed and permitted will be shared with the party.
The module adventure starts at level 10 however I am running stuff prior all the way to level 9. This level 1-9 section will be free. The Vecna: Eve of Ruin section will be the part that costs. At this moment in time the Eve of Ruin section has not started, we are still building up stakes so there is plenty of time for you to join and only have missed player interaction and banter. All sessions are recorded though so you can actually catch-up if you wish. **The Sunless Citadel: 1-3** [Complete] **The Keep on the Borderlands: 3-4** [Complete] **Nest of the Eldritch Eye: 4** [Complete] **Prisoner 13: 4** [Complete] **Homebrew: 5+** [Ongoing] -Player Backstory quests. **Tavern of the Lost: 6** - A chance encounter with a sentient tavern **Homebrew: 7-9 ** -A lot more backstory quests that come into play, rising themes of anticipation and pay-off **The Demon Queen Awakens: 9-10** -24 Hours to save the world world total destruction **Vecna: Eve of Ruin: 10-20** (Paid form this point onward) -Established Heroes save the multiverse
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have 3 character ideas in mind and be ready to expand upon them. You will not need to download any additional software - just bring yourself and a laptop or PC that can run FoundryVTT in the browser.
What Matthew (ItsScottish) brings to the table
I have a secure VTT (Foundry with HTTPS) with maps (official and custom). I use background music to set the scene and voices for different NPCs to set them apart. Ambient noises are used to held place the setting and every interaction is meaningful. Rule of cool is often utilised for some things. Players can expect to get very comfortable with their characters as we are in it for the long haul. Make friendships, build relationships and fight tooth and nail for every victory for that it is hard earned. Yous are the stars of this story and by the end of the module you will be the coolest thing in the world hands down.

How Matthew (ItsScottish) creates a safe table
Players can expect to get very comfortable with their characters as we are in it for the long haul. Make friendships, build relationships and fight tooth and nail for every victory for that it is hard earned. Prior to the game starting you will be given a briefing document with an overview of the information at the table - you will also be given a Session 0 prior to the game starting. You will also be given a RPG Consent form and 1 for myself so you know what I allow at the table. We operate an open door policy, at any point for any reason you can just go AFK as long as we know you are AFK. We also have an option to put your hand up for any reason you wish and webcams are not mandatory meaning everything you say is taken at 100% face value.
