About the adventure
Candela Obscura is a paranormal secret society whose charge is to protect the turn-of-the-century city of Newfaire from the strange, magickal, and occult. As members of this investigative organization, your mission is to rescue the teeming masses from the horrors that wish to destroy society as they know it. Strange disappearances, runes and summoned monsters from the unknown, a maze of underground ruins, and more await. Can you stop the forces battering at the world from tearing it apart?
A series of mysterious deaths in the art galleries of Newfaire have left investigators perplexed and concerned for the safety of the city’s more respectable citizens. Your Circle has been commanded by Candela Obscura to investigate and come to the bottom of this mysterious apparition quickly... before the hourglass runs out. We will be starting this campaign with my published one-shot: The Woman in Red, and expanding on your Circle and their Assignments from there as they come together to protect Newfaire from Bleed.

How to prepare
Basic webcams and mics are perfectly fine! This isn't a streamed Actual Play, and the important thing is that we are able to see each other and understand one another. Basic understanding of the genre is of course helpful, but you don't need to be an expert in this brand-new game by any means! That's what I'm here for. You are welcome to have your own physical dice to play with, or you can use virtual dice as well.

I will bring a host of fascinating NPCs and otherworldly creatures and weave a bizarre and fascinating world for your characters to explore.
Gameplay details
We will discuss the Lines & Veils list in session zero with names stripped away to be anonymous. There will be no graphic gore in this game, as it is one of my lines, and will be at most fade to black. If at any time a player needs to modify their Lines & Veils, they are absolutely welcome to message me privately and we will pivot/update that information accordingly. We take one 10-minute break in the middle of my sessions.

How will character creation work
For this game, we will be using pregenerated character sheets provided in the quickstart guide. While the PCs' stats and abilities are set, their names, personalities, and backstories are your own to create! The five pregens are: 1. Face: Journalist & Magician 2. Muscle: Explorer & Soldier 3. Scholar: Doctor & Professor 4. Slink: Criminal & Detective 5. Weird: Medium & Occultist
