About the adventure

You are adventurers in the realm of Beef’s Keep, where the nations have been splintered over major disagreements in how to feed the people. Creepingvale and the United Clown Nations have led their people into a collective darkness known as The Deep Freeze. While the world currently feels like a cold and desolate place, you reside in the one nation that remains a true beacon of hope: Freshtovia. Freshtovia is known for its lush fields; signature dishes; and redheaded queen, Queen Wendy. As queen of Freshtovia, Wendy has clapped back at all attacks on her borders. She is strong and has maintained her nations integrity despite the growing pressure of the other nations. I am an experienced DM that has modified this adventure to run with 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. We will be making 10th level characters on D&D Beyond (I will lend you use of all books for the campaign); we will play on Roll20 on pre-loaded potatoes... err... maps, and will talk via Discord. After you create your character, you'll be put into a world where you make the decisions at every turn. Can you help Queen Wendy overcome the frozen wastes and make everyone fresh once more?

About me

Hail and Well Met Gamers! Some call me... Jeremy Jordan. I am an old gamer, game designer, RPG enthusiast, and have always held the belief that a game should be fun. I have worked on a lot of projects over the years, mostly D&D related. I was a Delegate for Wizards of the Coast, in addition to one of their convention staff. I helped launch 4th and 5th edition D&D, and have been playing since 1st edition. Recently I helped design and launch The Land Roleplaying System, based off of the best selling Chaos Seeds novels by Dr. Aleron Kong. In 2022 I moved 1000 miles from my player base to Florida, and am looking to once again run games for anyone willing to share a story with me. I'm happy to run D&D 3.5/4/5 for any group, and am currently setting up campaign terms for The Land Roleplaying System. I have an established Roll20 account with decent macros- please contact me if you would like to set up a gaming session. I tend to be corny - and I'm more about having fun with players than beating someone up over a ruling - and I will do my best to ensure we all have a good time.

Character creation

Creating your character

Upon reserving a spot, you will be . It is formatted so we can modify and update the sheet with necessary rules updates without affecting your gameplay. All of the character math is done - you simply choose what you want to upgrade and the generator does all the math. For this game, all characters will begin at the current adventure level.

The current party

This is for our Sunday group, as we will be running two separate groups of this adventure.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

As this is an introductory game, there is no need for previous knowledge of the world or the system. We would appreciate all players having a working camera and microphone, although we have played without them as well. We intend to use Discord for audio/video, and the game will be run on Roll20- so each player will need a Roll20 account and a Discord account. You will need a microphone and computer audio, and a camera would be more fun for everyone.

What Jeremy Jordan brings to the table

As this is a virtual game, all gaming materials are being virtually provided. Our system is modular; after this introductory adventure, our players can discuss the adventure and give feedback in secure Discord rooms to prevent spoilers for other players. All players will be able to participate in future events with their same character, which will be saved to our database. I'll bring my best entertaining self, plus some fun effects, and maybe some cats interrupting us.

Safety

How Jeremy Jordan creates a safe table

Your initial character ('Mech) will be pre-made from a list of different types. As you progress in the game (and better understand the rules), you will have more customization options. This game is entirely on Roll20; our chat is on Discord.
