Then iHunt is the perfect way to earn some extra cash on the side. Sign up today and become an iHunter so you can fight baddies*, kick some ass**, and earn big bucks!***." *No guarantees on the moral status of monsters targeted by posters in the iHunt app. **iHunt is not liable for injuries of a physical or mental nature while working on jobs contracted through the app. ***iHunt will take a percentage of payment for job referral and any appropriate fees will be removed before payout. ----- Come join a fun urban fantasy/action horror game based on the FATE system. iHunt is a game about trying to make your way through a messed up world by monster hunting in the gig economy. It deals with the horrors of vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, and sorcerers but also the horrors of capitalism, freelance work, and day-to-day life. iHunt centers LGBTQ people and your GM is nonbinary and queer-- all players are welcome. Games will be roleplay heavy, but obviously still with significant combat performed in the theater of the mind. Good tunes will be available as an option during game to those who want to listen and visual references for characters and locations will be provided. iHunters can come and go as they please, signing up for any jobs they want on a game by game basis. The world will be persistent, but players can stick around or drop in and drop out based on their preferences. Each session will center around a specific job and target chosen through the iHunt app by the group playing. It will have a monster of the week flavor, but there will be persistent background plots and stories to follow as well for those who wish to pull on those threads.

About me

Hi! My name is Tim. I have been playing TTRPGs for about seven years and GMing for about six of them. The games I have the most experience with are FATE, Kids on Bikes, numerous Powered by the Apocalypse Systems, some OSR systems, and 5e, but I have also run several other indie systems and am constantly checking out new indie games. I'm a narrative-focused GM who really enjoys character development and emergent story from gameplay. I do also enjoy combat, but narrative and character development don't turn off when the fight is on! I also love player contributions to the narrative and work with you to incorporate what you want to see for your characters into the storyline. My preferred virtual platform to play on as a GM is Role but I also will use Owlbear Radio depending on the system. I also use Theater of the Mind quite a lot, but typically with visual references. I use Discord for audio and video.

Character creation

Creating your character

Pregenerated characters will be available for use. Players can also create their own using the digital character sheet or by using a fillable PDF/physical sheet if they prefer. If doing the latter, please send a copy/photo of the sheet to me either before play or at the start of the session for quick review. Players can ask for help with rules or character creation in the Discord server, which they will get an invite to once they sign up. I will be happy to assist with custom character creation.

Bi-weekly game on Saturdays.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You must create a free account on playrole.com to play if you do not already have one. You will be sent a link to the table after signing up for the game. The game will include some background music/soundtrack as well as visual references, but no maps. We will be using Discord for voice and video-- a link to the server will be sent to you after you sign up. Microphone/Voice Chat is necessary to play. Video chat is available, but not required.

What Tim brings to the table

I will bring visual references and music using RPGSounds (optional for players to listen to), as well as experience GMing iHunt, among many other FATE games. I also bring experience with the Role platform and the ability and willingness to help with rules or character creation as needed, as well as providing resources beyond myself for reference.

How Tim creates a safe table

We will do a lines and veils safety check at the beginning of the game to ensure players are on the same page about which topics are acceptable in play. We will be using Role as a platform which has an anonymous ping system that works similarly to the X card where players can interrupt play and scenes can be glossed over or retconned as well.
