About the adventure

In Force and Destiny, you play as Force-sensitive characters trying to survive post-Order 66 in the vast galaxy far far away. As a newly emerged Force-user (or a survivor from times past), you will delve into ruins and temples that hold the forbidden ancient knowledge. As you try to learn more about the Force and its mysteries, you will have to do your best not to be discovered by the cunning agents of the Imperial Security Bureau or the dreaded Inquisitors. The game is a combination and expansion of nearly every module released for Force and Destiny, making it as comprehensive an adventure as one can have in the Star Wars universe. Will you explore the mysterious mountains of Tython or brave the tombs of Korriban? You might discover derelict old battleships built by the Jedi or even older cities built and forgotten by the Sith. Holocrons of times long gone will guide you during the trials of the Force, but you might want to forge your destiny on your own. Both sides of the Force call out to you as you walk the path to your fate. Can you resist the call of the Dark Side and try to save the galaxy as it cries out for help? Or will you perhaps answer the call with an iron fist of your own, bringing all who wouldn't bow to their knees? The adventure takes place during the time of the Galactic Empire, after the destruction of the first Death Star in A New Hope but before the Battle of Hoth in Empire Strikes Back, and uses the Force and Destiny system from Fantasy Flight Games, which perfectly evokes the feeling of the galaxy far far away and lets the players tell their own stories among the trillions of stars. The story begins on the planet Spintir as you attempt to rescue a friend from the clutches of evil. From there it will open up into a KOTOR-like planet-hopping adventure with the entire galaxy at your disposal as you search for the holocrons that can guide you to your new destiny.

Additional Details

How to prepare

A mic and a web browser (laptop, PC, Mac...) are required to play. No installation is required as everything is browser-based. Knowledge of the rules is not required because the game is open to beginners.

What I provide

I bring FoundryVTT, the most powerful virtual tabletop (dynamic lighting, music, character, gameplay automation, animation for different attacks/abilities), extensive knowledge of the rules, years of experience as a GM, deep and adaptive storytelling, dynamic worlds and silly voices.

Gameplay details

You can expect varied ambiance music and immersive artwork representing different scenes, as well as silly voices for different NPCs (they're not intended to be silly, I'm just not a great voice actor but someone who wants you to have a good time). Character sheets and game mechanics will be fully automated to help you use the system to its full potential and all rolls will be made in the open since I never fudge. Combat is fair and always in service to the story instead of being a pointless slog designed to waste time. I will strive to incorporate your character's backstory into the campaign so you can shape the story with me instead of just going through a railroaded experience. After each session we will have a short conversation about the session, giving you a chance to voice your opinion on everything that happened.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created in FoundryVTT with all Force and Destiny books unlocked and players are free to use any species and careers/specializations in the books. Character creation will be done with my assistance during Session 0 and will then be playtested to make sure that the characters fit what the players envisioned (session 0 is free). If the players want to prepare a character beforehand, they are free to do so using any of the officially published Force and Destiny resources.
