Witnessing the Weaver's Web: Level 12 Campaign
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
Starting Time could be adjusted by a few hours as players prefer. Find yourself wrapped up in a web of chaos starting within the bowels of Toril. Escape the depths of sunken caverns, through dark weavings, ancient hatreds, and whispered conspiracies making your way up to the city of spires. This is where the plot truly begins to unravel. Witnessing the Weaver's Web is an original adventure set in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting In it the choices the players make dictate who or what will help or hinder them and what the end of that journey could be. Travel the labyrinthine tunnels of the depths, float across shadowy chasms of a dark abyss, sinking beneath silent waters, perhaps meander through an underground metropolis where every friend may be a foe. Even when you see the sun, making your way through forest, across plains and over mountains, diving into dungeons, towns and cities, there may be reason to return eventually reaching even past the material plane. The challenges are designed to be "flexible though challenging" in allowing for a variety of party sizes, character levels and player experience. This adventure will begin anywhere from Level 3 through Level 5 and can carry a party to 15-20 through a series of encounters and locations which will entail combat, exploration and roleplay. All of these can be bypassed in a number of ways if not skipped (or missed) altogether. . The heretical beliefs of dark creatures begin to surface under duress of blackmail unleashed by a cosmological betrayal. A broken family bickers amongst themselves while those who still worship them are tested. Behind the waves giants kneel below a dead king born of despair Throughout all of this the dismantled vault of secrets begins to mend. Will you save or doom a host of creatures, cultures and perhaps even deities? Maybe a city or two Journey over, and below, the lands of intrigue to find out. This campaign adventure encounter is a homebrew campaign arc and is meant to explore some lesser explored regions and cities of the Underdark as well as Drow culture and religion as it continues to evolve and old ways return or are challenged by new ideals. The vast majority of this campaign is meant to take place beneath the surface, though opportunities to escape are present. Session 0 will commence once 3-4 players are incorporated. Additional players are welcome to join afterwards as well as this campaign does incorporate character hooks providing new players or characters a reason to join.

Have been playing in one of SoL's campaigns for several sessions, and actively look forward to each one. SoL is great at world building, and allowing player characters feel fleshed-out within it. Ideas and possibilities are actively welcomed, and often expanded upon, allowing for greater depth and integration with the overall world. Works to give all players time to contribute to the table, encourages player interaction, and gives leeway to make sure the sessions are as fun as possible. If you're looking for good story-telling, engaging and dynamic combat, and great character building, SoL more than delivers all of the above.
I really like the how he runs the games. He allows for creativity when making your character. Good voice acting. He is happy for the players even when a big encounter turns into the players just giving the monsters a beat down. Also he really knows Forgotten Realms lore and activly uses it.
We are playing in a new campaign of SoL's own design. It is an incredibly compelling and immersive world, with great plot hooks right at the launch. Everyone is able to express themselves and demonstrate their character's unique talents, with a highly balanced style of game play. Very pleased to recommend SoL and their games.
I started playing D&D last year and have played nearly every week with Stephen through a couple of one-shots and one longer ongoing homebrew campaign since December 2022! I've learned a great deal with his guidance, and feel very comfortable playing at his table. His storytelling and world-building are satisfying, with a great balance of RP and combat, and will ramp up either side if the table has a preference for the session. He helped walk me through character optimization to make the process of jumping in a lot quicker and encouraged collaborating with other players to make character backstories that lead to more meaningful roleplay scenarios outside of the one-shots. He has several returning players who have been around long before I joined, all skilled, creative, and helpful!

Gameplay details
Players can expect a mixture of zoomed in roleplay and more zoomed out narrative descriptions of events. Enemies in combat may have an interest in killing the players and some may be willing to retreat or surrender. Due to the nature of this campaign, characters with a certain greyscale morality and flexibility is recommended. Session 0 is free of charge and largely to try and provide additional information and interaction for both Players and DM to determine if the Table is suited. Session 0 Notes including Safety Tools and Established Expectations are available to reference at that time and beyond. Generally I stay a few minutes after game if there is anything to discuss, likewise ask before beginning a session the same. I check in regularly on my players and their goals/expectations for their character or the campaign.
