Adventure if you Dare! Exploring the Vast!

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

The Vast Unveiled In the remote reaches of The Decimation, a sprawling land known as The Vast beckons with untold mysteries and treacherous landscapes. Venture into the heart of this realm, where a diverse tapestry of biomes unfolds—frozen tundras to towering mountain peaks, and arid dune-covered deserts. Once a haven of lush forests, now only fragments remain, bearing witness to the short and tumultuous history of this land. Nearly a century past, a massive fleet of settlers sought refuge upon the shores of The Vast, escaping the ravages of a war-torn eastern land. Finding solace amidst mountains, woods, and plains, they established a fragile peace. However, tranquility's grip waned two decades ago when a relentless armada, the Army of Cressmaal, descended upon the northern shores. These fanatical goblins, armed with relics from a bygone era, razed lands, erected fortress cities, and enslaved populations—all in the name of the insatiable Cressmaal hunger. Third Charm Rising On the border of The Vast and the unforgiving Lingrumm Desert lies a beacon of hope—the fledgling settlement known as Third Charm. Formed by a coalition of refugee ships, the settlement emerged from the ashes of two failed attempts at finding a safe haven. With resources dwindling and desperation mounting, ship captains agreed to one final gamble. They beached their ships in the first area deemed moderately safe by scouts, pouring their hopes into this last bastion. Though merely a year old, Third Charm has managed to erect the skeletal framework of a home. Its citizens, a tapestry of diverse cultures, are united by one common thread—they are survivors. Some are refugees seeking sanctuary, others fleeing the relentless advance of the Cressmaals, and a few who simply stumbled upon this outpost of resilience. Embark on the Adventure Delve into the realm of The Vast with "Exploring The Vast," a Dungeons & Dragons 5e adventure that blends survival, exploration, and resource management. The fate of Third Charm teeters on the edge, and valiant souls are needed to brave the unknown. Will you gather essential resources, explore ancient ruins for artifacts, or confront dangerous monsters threatening scouting parties? The possibilities are as vast as the challenges that await both players and their intrepid party. Prepare to embark on a journey that will test the limits of courage and cunning in the uncharted expanses of The Vast. Imprisoned ancient evils from past ages were unleashed, tectonic force shake the ground, interdimensional rifts assaults the very fabric reality and giants rule the skies. Inspite of the everyday horrors, the peoples of this world have begun to rebuild after centuries of chaos and confusion. Various factions vie for power and control, seeking the secrets of the past to chart the course of the future. If there was ever a world in need of adventurers and heroes, this is it. Absolutely fantastic GM, Establishes expectations well, is flexible and allows for full player creativity, even making a whole Necron race for Wrath and Glory. The story so far has been captivating and a nice break for me from the DM seat.

Burt does a great job of knowing his players, their characters, and making sure both are properly attended in a game. Not only will he provide a fun mix of both roleplay and combat to ensure each session is properly engaging, but he'll also be sure to keep things balanced whilst giving players the creative edge to solve problems in ways they deem fit without going overboard. A proper attendance to a wide variety of builds, ensuring each player feels that their character can do what they set out to do is what you can expect when playing a Burt (TM) game!

I have lots of fun playing in Burt's curse of Strahd campaign, he does horror in a way that's not incredibly intense while also keeping the tone fun and I love how open he's been to accepting my less than conventional character! After the first session I had a nightmare for the first time that I can remember with the campaigns themes so I'd say that's pretty good for the tone and fun of the adventure!
